No smart *** remarks were made. It seemed to me you are the one not accepting advice because you supposedly think you know better?

That is all I will say as I am done with you.

OK, Ferodo's are the best pads in the world folks. Look no further than DS3000's there are NO better pads anywhere. In fact I heard all other brake pads manufacturers are going out of business because they simply can't match the performance of these run of the mill mediocre pads.

Clearly someone who lists Xpel/DEI/Alpine/valentine and Llumar as mods and thinks the Entry level track pads made by ferodo are the best pads ever is someone that will be missed. No really, I will miss your input.

Don't have an air freshener to throw in with the mods? Maybe like "Minty Madness" mod or like "Strawberry Blast" mod? Oooh I know... Straight from japan, "JDM Squash" mod!?

Give me a break, thanks for being done.

HEY! I resemble that last remark! The guys at Carboy here in Houston talked me into picking up one of those JDM Squash-scented air freshener things. They're actually pretty badass for an air freshener, I like it

Gee, and here I am missing the 'burning oil' scent that came free of charge with my '06 Revup. That stupid thing burned through 1qt. every 800 miles. In fact, one of my first thoughts after totaling that car was 'well at least I can stop buying Mobil1 by the truckload'.

This is the one they sold me, they had a bunch there at their front counter when I went for a dyno run. The girl recently asked me 'how long ago did you get this car? It still smells like new car'. It works

Or maybe your car smells like a new car because it is a new car?

Wow you are arrogant. I just recommended them, never said you had too use them but then you kept saying they were not track pads, then saying many other things. How old are you really?!

PS, do you even know what DEI is? Just curious because it sounds like you don't.

Nah it's been about 3 months now, and I've gotten into the car pretty sweaty and dirty at times working on it. The real new car small is gone. The air freshener is nice though. It's got some little adjustable vents inside it, I leave those all the way closed and you can barely notice it. Opening them makes it too strong for my taste. (and no, I didn't stick it on my dash either. I just leave it on the shelf behind the driver's seat, it seems to just kinda stay there most of the time).

Enlighten us, I don't know and google turns up lots of relevant hits actually. My top guesses from Google are an alarm system or exhaust heat-shield tape.

Design Engineering, Inc. - Thermal Chemicals DEI Radiator Relief

It's similar to Redline Water Wetter, but works better. Nissan Sport did a article on it a while back. And they sent me the product to test for them as well. I have been impressed. You guys might try it as it will lower your engine temps down a little.

Video vs Water Wetter. See how Redline foams up, not a good thing.

Ah well I was close, it's the same company that makes the exhaust shielding stuff

Interesting, I might try it on my next flush. I have Water Wetter in there now, I'm not sure how brilliant an idea it is to mix the two.

Hmm not sure if I would mix it either. I would say just stick it out with Redline for now till you are due for a coolant flush.

Well I'm going to be flushing early anyways just to get the mix right, I've just been lazy about getting around to it. Given my location, I'd rather be running 70/30 or maybe even 80/20 -ish water/coolant anyways, plus whatever additive.

Asinine Engineering: Direct Exhaust Injection

Funny story about this btw - this was actually made up on a local board of mine in Omaha. Theres some moron on there who'd make accounts with names similar to some well-known people on the board and try to make them sound like idiots. So, they turned the tables on him and made up some fake ideas to improve performance on a motor. DEI was one of those many funny posts, and it ended up turning viral a bit haha

It became so popular, just loading the thread on the board by millions of people caused the owner of the board to surpass his bandwidth for the month, within the first week of the month alone.
