Can a Muffler shop burn my tips?
Want the blue titanium tips like HKS/ Gemini. Can I take my car and put it on the lift and lightly burn the metal a few inches to achieve the look?

You currently have SS tips?

I'd practice on some scrap stainless steel tube with a similar diameter and wall thickness first. Stainless will usually get that blue hue if it's heated up and cooled rapidly.

You can use a torch to give them that burned look but it is very difficult to make the burn even all the way around. Also, the hotter the torch the more of the blue effect you will get. The good thing is that you can remove it if it isn't the look you were going for or you just need to redo it. Just use some #0000 steel wool and some metal polish and bring it back to the stainless look.

Awesome responses but I was more geared towards paying my local shop to do it instead of me doing it I don't have the access. Those guys are usually skilled with a torch

It'd be really difficult to do well free hand. I wouldnt trust em with it.
