Berk vs Tanabe vs Borla
Hi guys!
I've been saving to get a cat back exhaust for my 370z and now I'm ready!!!! After doing TONS of research, it all comes down to 3 cat backs: Berk, tanabe touring medallion or Borla It's driving me crazy I cant make a decission since I love the 3 of them so I really need advice from people with any of these cats... I've heard lot of good/bad stuff about each, ie. Berk cat fits lower so it is prone to hitting the ground and stuff, some people say Borla has lots of rasp and drone... PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!! |

Best bet is to go to meets in TX and find people that have them...
If nobody has them, that might be a good sign to stay away from them... Have you looked into some of the other options on the forum? Agency Power Meistershaft Fast Intentions ARK Motordyne is also working on one at the moment...

I'm with you on the exhaust decision, so many choices. However, I'm waiting to see what Motordyne comes up with. I used some of their stuff when I had my 350Z, and loved the quality and craftsmanship of their products.
My only advice would be to be patient, see/hear as many in person as you can and go with what sounds good to you. |

Invidia Gemini. Best design (won't scrape with drop), no drone, no rasp, no hiss with MotorDyne ART Pipes or stock cats, doesn't break the bank, good build quality, and sounds absolutely fantastic with or without a cat replacement like the ART Pipes.

Out of the 3, if I had to pick, i'd go with Berk... but the F.I. is the best right now out there. It has the sound, the quality, the customer service and the power over ALL of the other exhausts.

I warn you guys now, don't buy exhausts that have vertical hanging individual canisters. You will rip them off or damage them eventually, especially with a drop.

Love my Berk cbe. Love the Invidia as well. I agree with Arnold about the hanging canisters. But I'm sure owners of exhausts that have hanging canisters will come in and argue myths surrounding hanging canisters.

i have the tanabe catback, for me its just what i wanted. its far from "loud" and deff dosent sound obnoxious,or "tin-can" like. i describe it as the stock not (it still has that 370z sound to it,like it dosent suddenly sound like a v-8),but much deeper and of course louder.its comfortable for daily driving, and then loud when it needs to be. im considering getting the y-pipe also in the future
