Oval-ish, dual-wall, and angle cut...that would really fill in the exhaust cut outs in the bumper and look fantastic!
You're right—they're oval from the factory. Unless, you bought the NISMO exhaust, which is round.

Correct, but from a side profile even the nismo isnt that great looking...

Its so much cleaner from the side when you have some sort of tapered design to the tip...

I like the way my Nismo exhaust tips look from the back, I think the round looks great, but if they did have a slight angle cut, that would be good too.
I think the Factory Nismo car coming out this summer has the round with the angle cut.

The nismo and stillen are nearly identical...and the circle, while looking from directly behind looks great, it looks a little to big and goofy from a side profile. (for some reason I coulda sworn the nismo car is still using round non-slant tips)

Now if they go tapered/slant and its still a round design then technically from the back you wont tell the different until you see it from the side which at that time it should then look even better!

If this exhaust sounds good, makes 14+ whp, and does not have tips that stick far out, THEN I WILL PURCHASE IT ASAP.

Please BERK make this a good one!

It needs to make at least +20whp before I'll even consider it. But I already have a CBE, so my perspective is a little different than it'd be if I still just had the stock exhaust.

semtex, Stillen claims on their website that their CBE yields 18 whp, yet others claimed 37 on the GTMotorsport's exhaust thread. Did you dyno with just the CBE to know the difference between that and stock?

I found this over in the GTM group buy thread. Is this the source of the +37hp?

If so, I need to make a few things as clear as possible. I've already stated these things in my own thread(s) on my results. In fact, I've even embedded these clarifications right in the first dyno video I made. And it also appears that these clarifications were discussed right in the GTM thread. But here they are again:
  • I never did a baseline dyno when my car was bone stock, so it's impossible to say definitively that I gained xyz whp over stock with whatever mods.
  • The 254whp figure comes from another 6MT 370Z /Sport, dyno'd right before my car, on the same dyno. But it is not the same car, so at best, this figure can only serve as a rough approximation baseline.
  • I installed the Stillen CBE and Berk HFCs at the same time, so I do not have separate numbers for these two components.
  • If you use the 254whp number as an approximate baseline, then my 291whp figure appears to support the dyno results that Stillen claims for their CBE (+18), as well as the results that DDM got for the Berk HFCs (+19).

When you look at the totality of circumstances, I think the +37whp 'gain' my car supposedly made must be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. We certainly cannot claim that the Stillen CBE alone made +37whp. There's just no way.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Thanks for the clarifications semtex. And there is also the possibility your car had more than 254whp, and therefore the gains could be even a little bit smaller.

Oh definitely. In fact, my assumption is that my car made more than 254whp when it was bone stock. Because think about it, if I really gained a combined +37 from the CBE and HFCs, then that means that ricer math actually worked (18+19=37). But it's called 'ricer math' for a reason -- gains seldom work that way. As one adds more mods, one should expect diminishing returns.

On the other hand . . . after I added the Stillen G3 intake and went back to that same dyno, I pulled 306.4whp, which is a gain of 15whp. Stillen claims 17.5whp for these intakes. Now, Stillen uses a DynoJet, whereas my gain of 15whp was measured on a DynoDynamics, which usually measures a little lower than DynoJet. Point being, it would appear that ricer math did in fact work when I put the G3 intakes on. So I don't know what the deal is with my car. But I'm not complaining.

^ LOL. Yeah, thanks dude. I've been trying to figure out a rice way of mounting that GTSpec subframe brace that I ordered from you last week. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe I could steal some wheels off of a shopping cart and mount them to one end, then mount the other end to my rear bumper so that it looks like some sort of wheelie bar.
