When I say true dual I mean two dual pipes with no interaction between the two. The deciding factor on which one we will produce will be power production & sound. The exhaust will be a dual 2.5" design. That picture of the front section of the exhaust is two separate pipes, the rear of the car will use two separate mufflers.

Adding an X-pipe or balance tube will usually GAIN power and reduce sound. At worst they will have no effect on power but will help to quiet down the system.

Solismo - 90% of our 370Z will transfer over to the G37. Once we finish this up we will jump right into the G37.

LiquidZ - What you see in the picture is a mild steel prototype. Nobody prototypes in stainless because of all of the material that we scrap in the process.

Semtex -We would love to do a back to back comparison.

Do you know what steel you will end up using? I understand the reason for using the mild steel.

I just want my exhaust note to make babies cry. I was parked next to a car yesterday where this lady was strapping her baby into the baby seat. I fired up my Z, and the baby didn't cry. That's just wrong. (j/k - sorta)

I had one of THE loudest exhausts with my scooby, I mean I loved it, it was brutal in the best way possible but you know what I'm done with that...if it sounds smooth and euro like the AMUSE exhaust I'd be happy.

No, I was sporting the Kakimoto GT1.0Z - it was REDICULOUSLY lightweight and equally loud!

At all the meets and any events - everyone knew my car! HAHA

I agree with Semtex, if it sounds anywhere near this, I'm buying.

Yeah, the Saclam is really unique sounding b/c of the design, but it's also really pricey. I think it's a bit too loud for the street, I really don't want to attract that much attention when I get on it. There is a bit of an echo in that vid, I wish I could hear it outside, and not in the service bay.

Keep in mind that once you ad the HFC's it really increases the sound level, if you start off too loud, it will be incredibly loud when the HFC's are added to the mix.

As far as H-Pipe vs. Y, vs. X-pipe, my personal choice would be X, but my only experience with exhaust is limited to V8 cars. My 2 Mustangs ran the X-pipes and made the most HP & Torque with this system. But the VQ is a completely different engine, although it it still a V configuration.

Another thing I'd vote for is more Torque vs. Max HP, (to a point) at least from a street car perspective. I'm rarely up in the 7500 rpm range on the street, so having a little more usable torque down low, would make the car more enjoyable to drive.

I found this clip of a G37, not sure who makes the exhaust, but thought it sounded pretty good.

I'm sure whatever Berk comes up with will be awesome
