Has anybody ever dynoed LTH as their LAST mod as opposed to their 1st or 2nd? We all know that the first mod on our cars will always be the highest, no matter what it is and then it goes down from there.
I'd like to see someone with intake, exhaust, TP/ART/HFCs, and tune dyno their car before installing the LTH. I personally have a feeling, the difference won't be very big at all, especially if you're replacing the ART Pipes for LTH. |

The XYZ outlet is 3.0" diameter and there is no loss at all with the resonator. I wouldn't be surprised if you made more power with the XYZ pipe. |

At least on the 350Z, the XYZ pipe has out dynod everything it has been independently dyno tested against. So if it happened on the 370Z it wouldn't exactly be a surprise.

Tony, do you think the HFC in the XYZ would be enough to pass an emissions test? |

I did, but it was with an addition of a flywheel and a tweaking of my tune that got rich for some reason, so its kind of a bad example... but i gained 21 whp but I think a lot came from how rich my car was when it went in there... |

Tony,
How does ART pipes make more gains over other resonated or non test pipes? |

Similar to what headers do but achieved in a different manner, resonance Q, frequency and magnitude. There is much more to how it works though. A lot of unpublished R&D testing on the effects of the ART pipes on 350Z was part of the ART pipe patent application. There is still much more to explore now that VVEL is part of the equation. I can't wait to get hold of exhaust cam control to tune it to the ART pipes. If it is anything like the 350 engine, amazing things can happen on the dyno when the exhaust valves can be tuned to the ART pipes. |
Would anyone like to conduct a fair and independent test comparing the ART pipes to Long Tube Headers?
It would make an interesting test for sure. |
I have your ART Pipes.. i do not have LTH...

Only intake cams have VVEL and IVT. http://i.imgur.com/ZT9As.png |
Thanks Tony.
Exhaust cam phasing is controllable using Uprev but from what I been told it doesn't make much difference until intake cam phasing (or controlled by VVEL) is tunable unless it helps with your product. Maybe I should confirm again with my tuner is this is doable and there might be little bit more gains. |
Has anyone performed this test?!
