Invidia Gemini and ART pipes

Is anyone currently running this set up? Just curious on any issues and changes in sound of the exhaust both inside and out. No doubt the ART pipes have gotten great reviews but not a lot of info on exhaust combos. I am not into overly loud exhaust but would like the potential performance gains.

Got louder when u added the ART pipes. But not too bad. Some drone at highway speeds. Very good combo. Since then I added the stillen Gen 3 and it's almost too loud for my taste. Fine if I'm riding solo, but kinda loud if trying to talk to your passenger.

There's a guy from Dubai who is running it... it sounds very good IMO. Invidia exhausts won't give you the hp gain that the F.I. Stillen, etc etc exhausts will, but it does sound good.

yeah go to youtube.com

search docaam
select the user
and check his uploads

he has a video of that combo

Thanks for the replies, the combo sounds good in docaam vids, real life vs video/audio clips can sometimes be night and day. I installed the G3's when bolting on the exhaust. I was surprised that my current setup isnt overly loud, its not a DD more of a weekend/vacation car. I told myself I wasnt going to buy a brand new car and start dumping $$$ in but who am I kidding. My other toy is a Jeep TJ - engine/tranny/suspension/tires/axles all swapped out for bigger better. Modifying vehicles should be classified as a disease or at the very least a sickness :-)

I actually think it is truly and addiction myself. I bought the Z because there were some NA mods, but basically it comes down to exhaust and intakes... pullyes and such, but that's about as far as one can go with NA unless you want to build a 4.5l stroked motor which would be cool... but i'm not spending 5 grand myself to do that. I'm also not going to spend 5-10 grand on a SC or TT set-up either... it's just not worth it to me. I had a lot of power in my Evo, and all it really did was cause one issue after the next and was no longer just a fun car to drive.

I have it. It sounds amazing. When the ART Pipes are breaking in, they will be louder initially. But after that, they quiet down and there is NO drone of any sort on the highway. The combo sounds absolutely flawless, in my opinion.

All of these true dual exhausts gain virtually identical figures, the only differences being statistical noise. Measuring such incremental changes/differences between components on a dyno is not optimal or accurate at all.

Thanks for the info Arnold. How many miles does it take to break them in? My other concern is CEL. I haven't done a ton of research and see they have an extended O2 bung, did you (or anyone else) come across anything?

Mine will likely be paired up with the F.I. exhaust (18" resonators) with XYZ resonated pipe... I wonder if that would be to loud? I don't know if anyone has this set-up.

I don't know man... i've seen a looooot of dyno charts with very similar parts and the F.I. always shows more of a power gain when all other parts are the same or basically the same. I'm not knocking the Invidia... I like the sound of it a whole lot personally.

About 300-500 or so for the sound to get to its quietest, but it does depend on how your drive. If you open the car up frequently, you'll break it in quicker. As far as CEL, as far as I know there hasn't been a single one directly related to the ART Pipes. Over 1K miles on mine, and no problems.

I wish I knew, it should sound pretty much perfect and not too loud. The crazy thing about the ART Pipes is that they're quieter than HFCs and test pipes.

yeah... ART pipes are my first mod... they should be here Thursday or Friday. I'm hopeful my friend will be able to get my car into his shop so we can use the lift... whole lot easier than putting it up on jack stands or ramps.
