I know that the hose kit is available for this, but i'm just wondering if anyone has just taken the covers off for that little bit of extra air? I

Fang cover removal?
I know that the hose kit is available for this, but i'm just wondering if anyone has just taken the covers off for that little bit of extra air? I was going to when I changed my oil but I was a little worried about a rock or something coming through and hitting the oil cooler or something.
