ARK vs F.I. CBE OnLy In depth!!!!!!!
I know that CBE is a total opinion and no one true best of the best because of all the variables.... That's what I'm trying to figure out... Let me start by saying I love the angled cans and is a must...pls if you leave feedback only leave it for the mentioned CBE... Btw the 2 can you help me out with the following and this is onle CBE nothing else IE CAI HFC or LTH 1.which is overall louder
2. Which has less rasp 3. Which has less drone. 4 which one idles louder 5. Which has better fitment and not known for rattle 6I know this ones dumb but don't understand concept of 12 and 18inch resonators and I thinks it has something to do sound and pressure but don't know significance of sizes. 7Which one sits lower 8I hear the cans sit lower on F.I. Vs Ark 8 I believe you get more WHP with 9. Which CBE tips stick out further than the other(I don't like them sticking out far maybe a half inch to inch more than stock.... 10 last overall as far as sound I'm looking for loud but exotic ..... Feedback would be great and btw I've heard a lot of sound clips but to be honest they all sound the damn same plus many are in garages which make no sense to me or right under exhaust which sounds weird Last edited by SuPErBLuE370z; 08-12-2011 at 10:32 PM. |

What is the school.
1. Not sure if ARK offers options like FI does with resonaters so this is hard to answear. Non-Resonated FI is gonna be louder. 2. Once again depends on what FI system you want to go with. The resonated FI have little to no rasp. Even my Non-Resonated FI had very little rasp. 3. Again need to know what FI you want, my Non-Resonated FI had no drone, cant speak for the ARK. 4. I'm sure there both quiet at idle. Look at my Setup in the sig. My car is very quiet once it is warmed up at idle. 5. The larger the resonater the quieter the exhaust and less chance of rasp. A resonater basically just quiets down the exhaust. Go on youtube and you can hear what all 3 FI systems sound like, or go to the exhaust section of this forum. 6. Apperently FI just made a change to tuck there exhaust up some more. The cans may hang low on the FI but the ARK has flanges that are even lower I believe. 7. If you do get more from the FI its probably not much, but the FI has been proven to make the most I believe. 8. Not a question but a statement. 9. Not sure, I think the same. Neither stick out far if installed correctly. 10. Loud and exotic I'm gonna have to say Non-Resonated FI with Non-Resonated Test Pipes. I get so many complements. P.S Just noticed your from VA. Good luck, your probably gonna get arrested the second you start the car with the new exhaust LOL.

Haha I live in Great Bridge part of chesapeake and my 2nd to last car was an 89 mustang GT all motor with no cats it was straight exhaust pushing around 415 WHP... Anyways I was pulled over 11 times just for exhaust, 4 for clearance, 5 speeding tickets (2 being reckless) in 4 years.... 3 for exhaust in 9 days so within a month I purchased my now other car GTI...

Both exhausts are great... they each have such a different sound... amazing to me (who knows next to nothing about in depth information of how exhausts flow, work, sound etc) that so many companies can make exhausts that sound so much different. If you like that deep almost V8 growl then the ARK would be for you, if you like the exotic sound... the F.I. would be a much better choice. =
I like them both and have debated back and forth on what I want to get. Remember ARK is coming out with a new TYPE 1 exhaust which is supposed to produce more power and just be better I believe. I was also just informed by Tony over at Motordyne that his is "worth waiting for" so i'm going to wait on that before I make a choice on anything. These are the 3 i'm waiting on though. |

I wish motordyne would make a exhaust for us soon, cant wait. I cant speak for ark, but i had the old fast intentions dual for 350z and it was awesome. I think the 18 resonator on the new system sounds cool with oem cats, you should actually get more power with 12 inch resonator, but it will be louder. You should go to a z and g meet and that way you can hear them in person and see what sound makes you smile.

And with the Akrapovic, although it sounds awesome and the CF tips are , he's not going to go for it because it doesn't have the angled cans. I myself am seriously eyeballing this to pair with the F.I. LTH's to see what kinda sound it would make.

i say just get all of them and try it and the ones you dont like, just sell them. everybody on this forum is gonna have their own views and opinions. checking out old threads still hasnt really helped me choose one. best way would be meeting other forum members and checking out their exhaust. gl
