What's the deal with the huge coffee can tips on all of the exhausts these days? They all have this tacked-on look that is obvious from the side as a just a big 'tip' put on the end of a smaller pipe.
I think this look goes perfectly with a huge wing sticking up a couple of feet.

Am I the only one that thinks a slightly smaller angle cut pipe that actually runs all the way back to the muffler would look a little less ....... fake? Or is this just a rice thing that is a part of todays younger culture that a old hotroder doesn't understand?

These are some cool exhaust, but sadly, many of the JDM offerings will not find their way to the U.S.

I would take this picture with a grain of salt, because 1. the fish-eye lense type of shot they took doesnt exactly compliment the whole thing. 2. Those tips are actually not that bad. They've got a decent rolled lip and they are slant cut which looks far better than the coffee can style from a side view.

I agree with you for the most part. What bugs me is when the exhaust tips are not flush with the body lines. Which is why a nice slant cut slightly smaller tip would go perfectly with the lines of the rear bumper!
