Sound from Z with 7spd auto w/ mod exhaust
How do the various aftermarket exhaust sound, with the 7 spd Auto trans? Reason i ask is that most times I hear a car 6cyl or less with an exhaust and automaitic it kinda sounds terrible when driving off from a stop.

I've been wondering the same thing..

Sounds funny if left in D. Too many gears.
Most of the time I drive in M and it sounds fine. |

I'm not sure what the tranny you have has to do with what the engine sounds like... It's the same motor?? :ugh2:
But for the sake of the OP, here's a link to my youtube channel with my Dyno Vids and Canyon Run vids... ‪TheCwis's Channel‬‏ - YouTube 2010 7AT Current Mods: K&N Drop Ins COBB Post MAF Tubes Fast Intentions Long Tube Headers Fast Intentions 18" Resonated Stainless Steel Exhaust |
I think The op thinks the sounds are different between the two tranny because people with a manual tends to shift gear at a higher rpm which equals to a louder sound. And the people that drives with D, automatically shifts at a lower gear = almost no sound.
Well my hfc + hks is a bit on the quiet side when I drive on D in hot weather but when I'm on manual mode, you better put on some ear plugs. :rofl2: |
