Default Stillen gen 3 intake rubbing A/C lines

This is more of an fyi/warning than asking for help.

http://www.stillen.com/product_files/402852~inst.pdf

Note step 12, where it says:

"It may be necessary to install a piece of
silicone hose between the drivers side
lower tube and the A/C lines to keep
them from rubbing. Split open an extra
piece of silicone breather hose, wrap
around the A/C lines, and secure with zip
ties."

Being cautious, and wanting to defer any problems to my warranty, I had the dealership install it. The above wording sounds like a "it _might_ be ok if you skip this step." If you're having someone install it, or doing it yourself, DON'T skip this part. A/C lines were shot, and they're fixing their mistake under warranty now.

AND I'm stuck with an Altima loaner for now. Came with the boat suspension package I think.

Yup, this has happened to a few members...it is a MUST DO during the install.

Can we get any pics of before, with the stillens installed and no protection, and with the tubing added so we can see what/where we need it?

I knew there was an issue with Stillen intakes. Very preventable, though. Good looking out.

The dealer's doing their best to cover their ***, so pics are probably out of the question.

When I first went with no A/C, the service guy approached with "Sooooo tell me about this CAI"...."You guys installed it." Apparently him and the techs are going at it since they basically didn't follow the instructions, so I'm doubting I'll get any more details than "it's fixed now" out of them.

Here's something that would probably work for the hose:

Z1 Silicone Side PCV Breather Hose set for Aftermarket Intakes

Judging from the instructions, it's probably pretty obvious as to where to wrap the A/C lines, as long as you know what your A/C lines look like.

DIYers? I'll do a search and see if I can spot some bumper-off pics where it's visible.

Sorry, I don't have any pics when I installed mine last year. The kit comes with a small chunk of tubing, enough to wrap the AC line closest to the front of the car (on the driver's side)...the more vulnerable one. I ended up buying a little bit of heater hose to wrap both lines, just to be safe. The G3 tube runs above the two AC lines and curves downward in front of them. These AC lines are located there and vulerable only on the driver's side. Once you have the bumper and covers removed, the small aluminum-tubed AC lines are very obvious.
