Maybe an acceleration time in the real world would tell us more, like an in gear acceleration video!

I still think it would be interesting to see the air intake temperature and ambient pressure and humidity on the F.I. dynos.

It will be very hard to have both systems toghether as they're not popular here in Italy, and Supersprint won't probably sell in the US because of the price. It would be very interesting.

how come a SuperSprint for the BWM 650 is $3,584, and for a 370z around 6k?

different company?

Why has this thread gotten this far in regards to price? If the system has a price tag of 6k, then so be it. Yes, many would like it to be more affordable but the fact of the matter is that it is what it is and that being a SuperSprint exhaust.

Like Econ stated, several people spend over 4-5k on wheels alone. There is absolutely no gains from cosmetics unless it assists the aerodynamics of the car.

This exhaust, just like any other "higher-end" exhaust, or anything expensive because of a "Brand," is marketed towards the people who want to or don't mind spending that amount of money.

For those concerned with power gains, wait for Dyno charts or do a little more research on your own and see what you can find, if there is any information from another person or SuperSprint themselves.

I'm just saying, this isn't the first time you see a steep price tag on something you may believe is not worth it. For example, some people spend thousands on watches and no matter how you justify it, at it's most basic function, it just tells time.

I agree, people should just relax a bit regarding the price, everyone has their own budget and preference, to each his own. If you all think 6K is steep for an exhaust you should check out the $40,000.00 lobster press lol.

Do you see any headers in that page?

6k is not the final price as it's a prototype anyway.

You might want to do some more research on wheels and why people spend 4k on certain wheels. Not saying all are worth it other than cosmetics, but there are many reasons to spend large amounts of money on good wheels.

Some forged wheels are very espensive because the manifacturing process is costly...

Last pictures (the "studio" pictures are a WIP you can see a bit of background)

Got enough SuperSprint stickers on that thing?

Does look like a well built system.

The system looks nice, some quality work have been put into it. Are the headers ceramic or stainless? Any drive by videos yet?

The videos are done but they require a bit of work (hide the numberplates, overlay the revs to the car view, fading, cutting etc...) I think you'll have them next week!

About the stickers yes one of the owner of Supersprint is adamant that both the sticker and the plate cover must be on!

We almost risked to run around with the plate cover on the car!!

My friend is a bit worried of all the attention he's attracting when he drives around, he has to disactivate the synchro rev around town...
I have to say the auto-heel&toe with the exhaust is awesome, especially with the windows down, it burbles and pops.
There's no drone in the car but it's definetly louder than stock..very musical and very race car. If it's too loud on the long run they will develop a different center section.

One more think, the final system will have less weldings as the curves were assembled in a few places for the prototype. The production item wil have multiple curved pipe with as few weldings as possibile.
