[Official] "Which Exhaust Should I Buy for My 370z?" Thread
Since I have had to merge about 5 "which exhaust should I buy" threads in the last two days, I decided to make an official thread.
Have at it |
Which Exhaust should i choose for my 370z?
I was just wondering on opinions and experiences you all might have for an new exhaust for my fairly new 370z... Hopefully i will be deciding soon on which to get and well be the first installment to my z :)
|
I got the GTHaus Meisterschaft exhaust. Its beasty, i love it. But if loud isnt what you want...then this is a bad choice haha.
|
A lot of people really favor the Fast Intentions CBE with the Berk HFC. Which exhaust to purchase is an EXTREMELY personal choice though which makes it very difficult to know what's best for you. You really cannot simply go by what someone else thinks is best. Your best bet is to go to your local car shows/meets and physically hear the setups that other Z owners have. Your next option obviously is to listen to the sticky Exhaust Clip Database:

My Berk CBE serves me well.
|
Non, some much better without one
lmao |
Invidia
The Invidia Gemini for cost and looks I only paid 750 for one that retailed for 1250.
|
I have the GT HAUS CBE (tail piece) and it sounds mean. No drone in the cabin but if you get up into the 3.5+ RPMS it screams! Still debating on getting the mid or not. Most HP gain comes from that but IDK about the noise lol.
|
maaaybe if you told us what your looking for in an exhaust?
loud? raspy? quiet? drone? looks? deep? high pitch? |

I have the Agency Power CBE and love it. At a couple of the meets I’ve taken a few people for rides so they can hear what the exhaust sounds like in while in the car. |
The Meisterschaft is way too loud so unless you track or live out in the boonies I would not get it. JMHO been there done that got the loud exhaust letter from HOA. :gtfo2:
Check out the sticky on the top of the Exhaust section for videos and do the homework. You will find the right one. |
Sorry folks, but Invidia is the way to go in terms of looks, cost, and sound. It's the goldilocks of exhausts... juuuuuuuuuust right in every category mentioned ;)
See my thread for more pics and sound clips. http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...st-review.html |
I have the Fast Intentions Long Tube Headers and CBE and couldn't be happier.
But Exhausts is purely subjective and it all depends. Do your research before just signing off because someone else really likes their setup. |
i love my ark.
|
berk for sure!

My opinion of what you should do is attached to my car...

HKS Hi Power. the resonator design fits exactly what you described wanting, quiet in low rpm but comes alive at WOT, the design allows lower speed of exhaust gas (lower rpm) to utilize the second canister on top of the muffler and keeps sound down, but when you have higher exhaust gas speeds (higher rpm) the canister on top of the muffler is bypassed and the volume is obviously increased.

No cons whatsoever for me. Love my Titanium tips too. Good aggressive sound below 3k rpm, then melodic above 3k. Quote:
also, I have to respond to your other thread for a get together. There's another guy on here, srbrubak, has a blue Z. On this forum too. There's 3 more z's in our area, but I don't know them yet. One of them has a roadster, and he's pretty ancient, so I'm sure he ain't going to be in to this kind of stuff like we are. |

All three sections...that is gonna SCREAM! |

OP, the most popular ones are Fast Intentions, Stillen, ARK and Berk check out some sound clips and see what works for you, however if I was you I'd first invest in some motordyne art pipes, they have stellar reviews. |

|
I prefer HKS and what do you know...mine is for sale. Check the private classifieds section :tups:
|
I saw the one guy who had an Invidia with the ART test pipes... it sounded REALLY nice .... very exotic IMO. I wonder what sort of gains that would yield?
I also am considering a F.I. exhaust which yields about 20 hp, more if their test pipes are used. |
|
Fast intentions PERIOD and this isn't subjective opinion ;)
research that exhaust. case closed. |
