I have the short tails and love them. Google "the370z aam short tails" and you'll find multiple threads on the aam short tails + youtube videos. A few are uploaded by myself,

They have a midpipe for when you are ready. Its a little pricey ($800 or so). But find a used one.. "AAM S-Line Midpipe" -- They say 20+whp without a tune from the midpipe.. Then youll have a catback exhaust that you can install yourself.

$800 for a mid-pipe? I'm happy I spent barely more than that for my Invidia cat back.

Yeah, like i said, its pricey for a piece of metal piping. The amuse exhaust out there is selling for $2000-3500. Sometimes things aren't necessary, but people still dish out the money for it.

Invidia yielded gains of 13whp - $900
AAM Midpipe yielded 20+whp = $900

If the 7whp isn't worth it to you, then the invidia is a good choice. Exhausts are all based on what the owner of the car prefers.

Very true... Though I have my doubts about any "large" hp increases from an exhaust (or a mid pipe!) on a NA engine. To each his own... Gotta pay to play!

How do you have your doubts? If you dyno a car and it puts down 270whp and then you add an exhaust, re-dyno and then it puts down 294whp... thats 24whp gains...on an N/A engine. Im a little confused but I think I know what you mean, its not like headers or CAI, etc..?

I got a question, it may be in the wrong area not sure I apologize in advance if it is, has any one used or is using the Apexi RS Evo Extreme exhaust? I've been searching and searching but can't find anything on this exhaust.

Never heard of it. I would recommend buying an exhaust that people already know works well, has good gains, and doesnt break down on you. The last thing you want is an exploded muffler.

The most power anyone has gotten out of the 370z staying N/A is 340whp. So about 400+hp at the engine. Here is a thread and people post their mods as well.. N/A HP BRAG thread

I have AAM short tails and holy loud. Like really loud. Prepare to be heard miles away. I love it, but I'm not going to lie, it is louder than my buddies vette with cutouts under power. Also you lose lower end torque but gain very little HP at the high RPMs. I don't know how true the HP gains are, but you will have a torque loss but the sound is sooooo worth it. I watched all Nick's videos (thanks) and it sounds even meaner and better in real life. Great purchase.

Also Khoi has very fast shipping (also free).

I doubt that it will break down since Apexi is an exhaust company that has been around for quite some time. It just isn't seen as much because it makes exhausts for older vehicles or for cars such as evos, frs/brz, STIs. But thanks for the input I guess I'll keep searching and asking vendors.... :/
