Yeah they are. I can remove them. Problem is they are not sliding up far enough. maybe some grease will help. its definitely a Berk exhaust. why it has adjustable tips when everyone else has fixed is beyond me.

Take a picture of of the inside. There may be like a weld bead in the way.

Yeah I will tomorrow. Definitely looks like there is something holding it up. I will find out tomorrow when I call Berk if they went to adjustable tips. If they didn't then I have the wrong exhaust on.

You might be able to just drill away the weld bead and get it on the rest of the way if that is the issue.

Yeah, or trim a few inches off the tailpipe and put the tips on. I was expecting an exhaust that fit correctly though. I will get it to fit, but I shouldn't have to modify it. Now I'm thinking I should of went with Ark.

Something seems to have gone screwy during the install or you ordered the wrong exhaust. My berk CBE does not have adjustable tips and they are quite flush with the bumper and sit about perfect. This is why I don't really trust anyone but myself to do work on a car unless I've known them for a long time. I'd go to the shop and inquire about it..:ugh2:

I ordered the exhaust through a vendor on here. It says 370z on the box. The shop that installed it is a muffler shop that installed my Berk hfc's with no issues a few months ago. I didn't order the wrong exhaust, I think Berk sent me the wrong exhaust. Either way I will figure it out. On a positive note, it sounds great.

might be newer version or something

The berk length varies quite a bit from unit to unit...I've seen some that stick out a bit from the bumper.

I've been reading many issues with the Berk exhaust. Hope you get that issue resolved as that sticking out is a sore eye.

Interested to know what Berk has to say about this....What vendor did you buy this exhaust from? Lookin at ur pics, it does not seem to be a Berk...Mine definitely does not look like that and I've never seen a Berk with adjustable tips...seems more like the Stillen....Even the prototype exhaust that Berk made prior to launching this exhaust did not have adjustable tips and were fixed tips

Also the tips on ur pics don't look anything like Berk tips for the 370Z CBE.

Update....I called Bryan at Berk and he confirmed that they went with adjustable tips on their CBE. He said customers were asking for them to be adjustable so they can rotate the tips. I told him that the exhaust they sent me was sticking out a good three inches from the bumper. Bryan said they are making them a little longer now so that they stick out about a fingers width from the rear. He asked me to send him pictures of mine.

I had my muffler shop take an inch off each tailpipe and refit the tips back on. They are now about a fingers width out from the rear, I cant get them flush because the right tailpipe has a bend and that's keeping the tip from going flush, even with the pipe being cut. I told Bryan at Berk about this and he said he can fab up som new tips for me by cutting the collars shorter on them so they clear then bend. Since I had the pipes cut an inch they now look pretty good. Not flush, but just a little past the rear. I am satisfied with them now. So just a heads up to those of you looking to get these pipes. They may not sit flush to your bumper, and the tips are definitely different then the older versions.

That's too bad. The stock looking tips is one of the things that made this exhaust so appealing.

I guess it's a good thing I already have mine. :D

I can confirm that Berk changed the Tip design of the exhaust. My Berk CBE that I installed a few weeks ago also came with adjustable tips just as the OP posted. My tips stick out past the bumper as well. I was planning to adjust them at some point, it doesnt bother me too much as is honestly.

Do you have a pic of how far they stick out past the bumper?

godammit I just bought Berks and definitely don't want them sticking out. From the looks of yours there is not enough pipe to shorten to what I would consider acceptable. I should probably return them before I open the box. And this after waiting 3 weeks just for them to ship.
