Any intake suggestions?

I have stillen gen 3 intakes which is long tubed intake .

With feedbacks, I'm aware that stillen gen 3 intakes have most gain in hp.

However, the dealershop screwed me over due to aftermarket intakes so I'm willing to get rid of it. However, I believe short intakes will be OK to install.

Any suggestion? :happydance:

THanks in advance.

I'd go back to stock rather than running an SRI.

They're ok to install but for the gains your better off with the stock intakes with k&n air filters. Whats the deal with the dealer? Did you have an issue they're blaming your intakes?

Dealer blames for everything....rattling noise issue, vibration issue when starting at 1st gear below 800rpm, engine light and etc...NOT COVERED
Cool, what's the gain with KN filters? :happydance:

Any sound difference from stock? I'm guessing not :ugh2:

I like the k&n typhoon. No hassle, decent gains, and sounds good. I think there was a sale going on too.

I agree, it is crazy expensive, do you know if it is long tube or short tube though?

Red__Zed 05-29-2011 12:55 PM

the picture on hks' website just shows one little tube, so I am sure you are probably right, just never seen it installed (probably because of the price, like you mentioned)

nismodreamr 05-29-2011 12:57 PM

ahhh now the picture loads.. stupid computer :shakes head: disregard previous comment

Hot intake air is always a good hp gain

Sorry.

Red__Zed 05-29-2011 12:58 PM

haha, I hate when that happens.

I think there was a guy on here that installed them. I don't know why you'd drop like $700 on them.

Sorry.

They're not really as bad as most people believe them to be.
