Can I paint a stillen G3 intake ?

Can I paint a stillen G3 Intake? I purchased it used and the prior owner scratched it all over the place some how... it drives me nuts..

Could I have it painted you think? or would it chip?

If its a bad idea, does anyone know any Powder Coating places on Long Island ?

I would not paint it myself, I would just give it to my bodyshop to do, they take care of me very well so Im sure cost would be very low if not free...

Powder coating is the way to go, I have been very happy with the black textured finish on my intakes. Here are my G3s with a before and after:

He did mine also "black"

Haha, thanks guys. I got them done at Precision Powdercoating in Santa Ana CA but it is just a generic wrinkle black powder coat finish that most powdercoaters should have. The finish is very nice, they did an OK job but I had to scrape off the powdercoating to allow the MAF to seat in its housing fully.

Can you tell me how much this cost you? Thanks.

Very nice stealth-OEM look!

Just a side note.. please please please inspect the intake before having it powdercoated! If there was any shipping damage, or something didn't seem right, once it's powdercoated it can't be warrantied.

Other than that.. they look fantastic! :)

So powdercoating the intakes voids the warranty?

Hey Chuck
I believe Mike once recommended this site, I had it saved in my favorites:
New York - Custom Coaters 2
Good luck!
