Default Hfc ?

Hey guys, currently I have Top speed Tp's I love the gains and the sound @4,000Rpms and up but hate the rasp between 2,500 to 3,000rpm's. I think I'm going HFC for now on a stock exhaust. I just wanted some opinons on a HFC that has no rasp and makes the car sound as loud as it does with the tp's on at high Rpm's. Thanks in advance.

I see two options: one is to grab a set of Motordyne Art Pipes as they have less rasp than even HFCs (decreased volume compared to TPs), or a set of resonated test pipes. However, nothing will match the volume of the test pipes. It is a tradeoff: you get more volume from test pipes due to the lack of muffling or restriction but conversely this design allows for rasp.

Sounds like resonated test pipes are your best bet while maintaining the performance of test pipes and decreasing rasp without affecting volume as significantly as HFCs or Art pipes.

hey bud! I suggest doing the Motordyne ART pipes if anything. HFCs will affect your hp

Honestly I would wait for someone to chime in that has personally dealt with multiple options. I do not believe that resonated test pipes are much different than regular test pipes AT ALL but I do not personally know. It sounds like ART Pipes are what you want though.

I have heard the multiple options in person. Resonated test pipes do make a difference.

Have you heard ART Pipes in person by chance?

Unfortunately not, I am considering a set to replace my Berks though! I heard a FI exhaust with resonated test pipes which is probably the closest comparison I can think of to the Art pipes, however Art pipes are slightly quieter than HFCs with less hiss and drone on certain exhausts.

That's what they say!

I am hoping to pick up a pair of the new revised versions. We'll see.
