Default First Mod: Stillen G3 Intake or HFC's?

Running bone stock right now, long term plans include doing a full CBE with HFC's as well as a full intake system, most likely a Stillen G3. What would you guys recommend based on experience as to which I should go with first, the intake of HFC's? I'm leaning toward Kinetix HFC's if I go that route based on the cost vs. satisfaction factor

From what I've heard, the HFC's will give you better performance gains. I'm facing the same decision when I get my first mod in a couple months. I've decided on the fast intentions hfc since I plan on getting their CBE later on. Good luck with whatever you decide to get

If you're planning to eventually get a cbe you should just get that first. The hfc will probably add rasp and or hissing noise. The cbe will make your z sound so much better, add more power, and it will add a little more bling too.

High flow cats (or test pipes) are the best dollars to benefits ratio, hands down.

HFC and y-pipe,, If you see how horrible the factory y-pipe is then you will want to replace it..

Probably going to hold off on the Y pipe unless I get one cheap. Getting married in about a month and a half, money is not the issue, but helping maintain her sanity is. So you guys think that even HFC's alone on a completely stock setup would be better than a full intake?

Thanks dude. I never really thought to check Ebay, I'd been poking around and saw most of them going for $200 or so. What would be the realistic output gains with HFC's and a Y-pipe vs something like the Stillen Gen3? Also sound wise?

I just put on CNT racing HFC's and ebay Y-Pipe and HPS intake tubes, I noticed a good gain in HP. The sound is wayyy different, but in a good way, you can actually hear your exhaust now. If you do a search there are some videos of guys that have changed to HFC with sound clips.

Just to tide you over for 100 you can get the HPS intake tubes, they are good for about 6-8 hp over stock..

Depends, if you plan on going with forced induction down the road dont waste your money on the intakes and get the HFC/Test Pipes or even go with the Fast Intentions Long Tube Headers.

My first mod was HFCs, huge bang for the buck. I do agree with Rockstar; I recommend getting a Y pipe as well since the exit diameter of the HFC is much larger than the inlet diameter of the OEM Y pipe so the exhaust is literally running into a wall. Y pipes can be had for less than $100 from ebay.

I definitely agree with everyone here on getting HFC's over the intakes.

Y-pipe has to come off anyway... Might as well replace with a new one..
