What exatctly are these on the intake? Pics

What exactly are these plastic objects on both sides of the intake? Also can you remove them and just run a rubber line straight from the intake to the crank

Also from what I've seen in the past from my 350 this shouldn't be where you normally run a catch can right? That a catch can would have to be installed inline from the line that go from the crankcase to the plenum, correct? The lines I'm referring to for the catch can are in the same pics below, but are the lines in the lower part of the pics, correct? Which is on both sides. On the passenger side its the line under the plastic U shaped piece.

I had a catch can on my 350 and that's how it was ran. But being our cars have dual intake on both sides I need to sort all this out.

I think those are resonators. When I put my R2C intakes on those were eliminated.

Ok. So I think it would be fair to say if your intake install required to remove them it would be safe for all.

It will be interesting to see what kind of a difference in sound, if any, you experience. Definitely in for results!

I'm going to do this. Just have to find the right hoses with the proper bends to make them work. There both different from side to side. After finding out there resonators from DrEvil I'm finding the reduce intake noise. Probably not by much. But I'm removing them for the hell of it.

Ok. Thanks! Your Injen has the same location of the breather hose as my Stillen's. Then again I assume all are this way.

thats the OEm position of them. Hopefully the intake ocmpanies put theirs in the same spot too otherwise they'd hafta provide all new hoses (which they wouldnt do cus it would cost them more!)

Yep!
Bank 1 was a little tough to get fitted requiring the after-market clamps!

How hard are those to put in on the lower end? Its obvious how they connect to the intake itself...

Shouldn't be hard. Especially if you have some 90 degree pliers for the clamps. Put it's best if you go ahead and use screw type clamps. You could work a small rachet in there.
