/\ mmmm, Amuse Titanium goodness, it's so beautiful I'd be actually sad to put it under the car where it could get dirty.

I could justify the cost for the actual exhaust...but the H-pipe for 1700+...ick. A bit too much there.

Still hoping that FI is willing to make a few and maybe with some resonators to cut the rasp down.

Has anyone been able to see Tony about this as of yet? Or does anyone have a fabricator that is willing to do this as of yet?

I spoke to Tony about this last year and he can definatly fab one up at his shop if you bring it in...only thing is that there would be a very minimal amount of hp gain from this..probably just better to get a complete exhaust as othr people have stated.

I have talked to several exhaust manufacturers and they have stated that alot of them have seen better gains across the board with an exhaust that necks down in the center rather than a straight through 2.5, 3inch, etc exhaust. Everyone explains that it gives you a better average torque to hp range. Like I have said this is what I was told so I asked my friends that work for some Nascar teams (I live near charlotte and mooresville) and they told me that this is how the exhaust is on the race cars they work on. Although you have to keep in mind most race cars run at very high rpms, so with normal street driving it may not make a difference.

True...I can see the point in regards to high RPM's and exhaust scavenging effects from pressure and all...(<---cant explain it in scientific verbiage)....but get the point. Its just that for us Nismo owners...the rear portion of the exhaust has 2 feed pipes from the H pipe. So if we want to change out the H pipe....we need to replace it with a H or X pipe that still has 2 exits to feed into the rear muffler section.

I suppose that there are no "vendors" that really are going to do this for "mass production" and everyone will have to find a local shop to fab that part then. Kind of a bummer....but guess that this is where this is going.

Thread bounce ....

Has anyone found a bolt on replacement yet for the NISMO H-Pipe?

I am not willing to pay the price of admission for the AMUSE piece even though it is a great piece of kit. It would look better on a wall in my house than under the car ...

i had it on my Nismo exhaust, with the Berk HFCs, there was too much rasp... I sold it to JeffBlue (Nismo Exhaust + H-Pipe replacement) and with OEM HFCs, it sounds good.

Tony at F.I. is interested.

Someone with a NISMO has to be near Northridge CA so he can take a look at manufacturing this piece.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Oh wait, I bet a bunch of forum members are too young to get the reference.

Didn't have this problem on my Nismo. I originally had an 09 touring sport and after it was totalled I replaced it with a 2010 Nismo. I transfered over my FI 18" resonator carbon fiber muffler exhaust over to my Nismo in just 45min. The hangers all lined up with no problems. The tips look great and don't stick out too far, nor are they tucked back too far. Looks good, sounds much better than the stock nismo exhaust, and there is definitly an power increase.

Sure an H-pipe replacement would be nice but if you are going to upgrade the exhaust you might as well go for a full cat-back

Understood.....its just that I have the Amuse Nismo version exhaust back there. Kind of would like to keep that.

Just need to have a H-Pipe or an X-Pipe fabricated WITH flanges that go from the cats to the mid-pipe. So far, I still have not seen another company other than Sunline and Amuse with a replacement piece for that section only.

If Tony at F.I. is interested.....I am in when it comes out. Though, if they can run resonators in that section, it would cut a lot of rasp down as well.

Someone help out Tony please so he can help us out in return. I am definitely too far away.

Any members still interested in something like this? Spoke with Tony today about fabricating a replacement and I will be following up over the next few weeks. He is a very busy man and it may take some time for me to get my Z into his shop for fabrication but I am set on getting one made for my car. If anyone else wants to get one made I could try to negotiate a decent price and based on his schedule he could possibly fab some extras.

By all means go for it. Hopefully it can be done for a "fair" price.
