Any insulation for the intake tube in that area has to help. Our Intake Air Temp sensors are just below that point (the MAS modules), so I don't think the difference actually shows on out IAT readings. If you shielded the lower part out in front of the radiator (from radiator heat) that might show up on IATs if it works, I never did yet.

My links were outdated, I fixed them:

Thermo-Tec's intake air tube shield for most of the coverage (measure and cut out some rectangular holes for the MAS blocks) + DEI Cool Tape for the MAS blocks and sealing up the other edge areas the wrap didn't cover.
