Any inside word on new headers?

Seeing that there are many people in the know:stirthepot: is there anyword for manufactures that are currently in the process of making headers for the 370z/G37. Ive heard of a couple but it seems Stillen has the market right now:driving:

Central 20 and Zele already have units. However, no word on their availability in the USA.

I believe these headers are available to the public. The reality about distributing JDM goods is complex. For now, most JDM distributors here in the states are still trying to feel out what most people like and/or want. If a JDM distributor stocks a header that nobody wants, then they lose money and if they don't have the own warehouse/storage space, they have to pay storage fees. This is why most parts from Japan are made to order. I can explain more if anyone would like but since it is a lot of detail I will just stop here for now.

I find it interesting, so please feel free to post up:hello: Maybee it would explain the price difference between a stillen header and an Impul for say when the power difference is not much.

With JDM goods, I cannot speak for all distributors because I do not know what their preferred method of operations are.

So what I will do is give some insight on how we work; one reason why JDM goods cost more is because not only does the item have to be made, but some JDM manufacturers charge domestic shipping in Japan which ships the product from their warehouse, to our Japanese office. After that, the item will then be transported overseas via our own container, and it will then hit Customs here in the states. While in Customs, certain percentages will be added to our account such as taxes, fees etc. Once our container clears Customs, it will then be shipped to our warehouse where we will unload, inspect, and then contact customers to arrange shipping. As you can see, there are many factors to consider. The price that we quote our clients is full inclusive meaning that Customs taxes and fees, overseas shipping, domestic shipping in Japan, all of that is taken care of.

In the end when it comes to JDM goods, you are not only paying for the product, but all of the services that we provide to get it to you the fastest, safest, and most affordable way possible.

Basically yes. Sometimes JDM quality is a little higher and pricing for the actual product may be more; other times JDM quality is lower and pricing for the actual product may be less. One thing I always mention is priorities; it is all about what your priorities are. If you want a rare item with good performance, companies such as Zele, Impul, or Cantral 20 are a good choice. If you want a more affordable item with good performance, companies such as Stillen, GT Motorsports are a good choice.
