Default Rasp on exhaust where does it come from..

Wanted to know where the rasp comes from. noticed more after I installed my Invidia Pipes dont get me wrong they sound great . was just wonderin if its the muffler or heatsheilds underneath the car. or mainly the VQ itself. Need some input. Thinkin of some custom stuff without buyin a catback..

It has to do with how our exhaust resonates & the straighter the pipe.
Almost all cars the straighter the pipes the more rasp and/or drone you will have.

Its continually reflecting shockwaves that bounce back and forth inside the exhaust tubes. Shockwaves generated by bluff bodies, sudden expansions or contractions.
