I must be missing something. Is this the bolt in the cat itself? If so that really has nothing to do with the removal of the cats for there is a nut that has to be removed off the stud (or star shaped stud). The wording from the OP is hard to understand what he is referring to.

Yeah I think two per cat are bolts and one is a stud threaded into the hole on the header. Therefore, you just leave the stud there, remove the bolt and then re-use the bolt when bolting the new piece up.
The top of the stud (engine side) I believe has a star fitting so you can unscrew it though.

did mine today, no problem till the top bolts, one broke the other striped, so ended up blow tourching it to break it off/ cuting it, kinda burnt the transmition oil metal line insulation does anyone know if i should change my trani oil because i heated the metal line up or is it not gona be a problem?

Bump this up! Where can I find replacement for these two demon bolts? Anyone has the size or product number?
And can I reused the other oem bolts off the cats for the art pipes? Got my test pipes 2nd hand and I don't think it came with any hardware

From reading this if I can break the bolt head off I can get the cat off? If so, how? I snapped one of awhile ago and dstripped the other, decided to leave the oem cats on but if I'm able to just dremel the heads off to get them off I'll try again.
