Default Y pipe

Hey guys thinkin of gettin a y pipe cause full exhaust is to much right now. I recently bought top speed pro test pipes and haven't put them on yet. I herd that just with these test pipes, the car sounds good. Now, I don't want my car to have a different sound just maybe a little deeper or louder. What y pipe would u suggest. Thanks in advance.

Install the test pipes and see how it sounds and go from there.

My opinion from personal experince don't want to install those pipes and y with the stock muffler. I did it and I hated the sound especially highway. Sounds like a 1990 honda accord with fart can. Just with the pipes it will be same tone but amplified and little raspy. I totally agree with jaycz install those and go from there thats what I did. This is my opinion.

I have...

Surewin Y pipe
muffler deletes
stock everything else...

I think my car sounds better than some cars that have full cat -backs. I don't have a cat-back simply because I haven't heard one in person that sounds better. I would LOVE to change setups mainly for the power increase, but I know once I change out my cats to test pipes, or go to a new mid pipe, I'm going to loose my sound.

I'll post another sound clip of what it sounds like... I love it.

This is what it sounded like before I added the Y pipe.

This is what mine sounds like with the stock cats, surewin y, and custom muffler deletes.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

This is just the test pipes.

I did the test pipes, y, and muffler delete. For me was BIG! NO!!! Way too loud for the street and significant power loss. Didnt record it, didnt even think about it, it was on for a total of 10 min. Mine is similar to typeOne.

I could feel a difference with the Ypipe for sure. Once I put the intakes on it realllyyyy woke the car up.

I think I'm going to get the Top Speed cat back... since I already have the Y pipe, I'm ready for a little more power. I don't like the way it looks so I'll likely just paint it black.
