idle was not changed, they got louder at WOT and the pitch did go up a bit but not raspy in a nasty way. There was a raspy point right around 3k but did not last. I really liked getting on it from 3k on it sounded great.
Having said that, exhaust sound is very subjective, for me it was a great sound. where as non resonated sounded like A$$

IMHO, I cant help but laugh at people who push OTHERS to mod like crazy. You may as well say, "Hi, I'm not willing/able to afford to test things on my car...who here has money to do it for me? Oh, didn't like it? Guess I wont spend the money on it now"

yup, but that's the nature of things. In the end, the people who are experimenting are taking a calculated risk and can handle the expenses. I took a gamble on a few stillen bits, but I knew that Stillen makes good products and it turned out that they really stand behind their products.
One opinion that I trust is Westpak's. I know he has had personal experience with most of these things and I've noticed that we are in agreement about a lot of things so I weigh his suggestions more heavily than others. I know at least one person who is willing to buy the resonated pipes today, so it is my turn to sit back and look at the results for a change. There is a 90% chance I'm going to pick up a set of resonated test pipes, however I am a little hesitant to jump on the ones that are available.. The results just don't add up... I'm gonna try and get more info, see if I can arrange a test with them. Last edited by RCZ; 05-07-2009 at 12:13 PM. |

I especially like it when they get pushy about providing dyno results.
