I'm betting that if you run it for a few days to allow the ECU to adjust, you'll have better gains. Hard to believe that headers and HFCs are only good for +15whp.

Yeah its not fair to say that the Berks make more power just yet. I think its going to be right around the same once the car has adjusted.

How's the car feel? Notice any loss of torque in the low end? Actually, you had the HFCs and headers put on at the same time, right? So you might actually feel a gain in torque relative to what you had before, because the gain from the HFCs outweighs the loss from the headers.

Also, what did you dyno stock at again?

RCZ, how was your car after just an intake/exhaust compared to complete stock?

I never did a baseline at stock. My first dyno was with the Stillen CBE and Berk HFCs, and I made 291.7 whp (Dyno Dynamics). Then I added the G3 intakes and went up to 306, added the headers and hit 317.

Interesting, so I think we can agree that the headers so far have been the weakest link.

if we're talking about HP to $$ ratio, probably....

I'm sure the cost of the headers and cost(or pain) to instlal them, you're better off going with an ECU upgrade for better HP to $$ ratio.....

but aren't the stock headers technically the strongest link? considering the benefits of aftermarket ones are not proving themselves

RCZ I emailed you the dyno chart, you will see the gains were across the entire power band.

I think as expected the headers don't do much, they didn't in the 350Z either, but after running with them you should pick up some more.

Also I think once we get Uprev to gets us the 370Z maps we will pick up some nice gains from tuning it, the car is running rather rich around 12.5 plus we can add some timing

Sounds like a plan Gus. I am looking forward to picking it up.

Actually, I'm wondering which part is holding me back from a few hp. The only difference I have from Semtex is the HFC's. I think Im going to switch to test pipes if this is the case. Don't worry, not soon.

LOL well Edwin might prefer if you do it sooner rather than later before the bolts seize up like the stock ones were.

The cat/pipe install is not bad as long as the bolts cooperate, the headers on the other hand are a @#%$!@

Also keep in mind a few things, mainly dyno difference with ours being a Mustang dyno which will read roughly 10 percent lower than a dynojet.

And unless you dyno both cars on the same dyno before and after mods it is hard if not impossible to compare accurately. We have seen it may times with the 350Z where they will dyno differently, we have had 350Z's with exhaust and intake dyno lower than a stock one and stock ones dynoing different from each other, so best is to just keep your gains in mind not absolute final numbers.

good

to give you an example, I got 35 horses on my 350Z with:
exhaust
test pipes
intake
plenum
pulley
+2 degrees of timing

this is why I went turbo lol

so 56 is awesome
