You can have oil coolers custom-made with drain plugs in them. Other than that the quantity residing in the oil cooler simply remains in the oil cooler during an oil change. You can pull a line on some the other designs (like Central 20) as their point of entry on the side, but who is going to be pulling or modifying their front fascia to do so. I believe that Stillen is using a Setrab. You can simply take the model number and find its specs here: Setrab

umm....I am not going to be switching around my oil weight too much, so I dont care if a bit stays in the system when I do it. What I will do is change my oil a little more often so that the oil that is left in the system ins't complete crap.

The car took exactly 6 quarts with the cooler installed.

I still haven't been able to get the oil temp past 220 on the street.

Josh, anyway you can shed some insight into how it affects the oil changes as well as finding out how much it holds?

Every car I had with a cooler/coolers has not had a provision for dumping the oil in the cooler. I wish I could remember where I saw the photo of a cooler equipped with a purge apparatus.

If you don't cook the oil, minimal reason to worry about that after a cooler install, there shouldn't be an issue. I know it goes against reason to leave a quart of used oil in the car. It didn't set well with me in the beginning, got used to the idea.

here's a pic of an extra core I have that was installed with lines down... it was installed when I had a line leak, so to be on the safe side, I'm not using it... plus it is a little too small IMO... but if someone wants it - at their risk- just drop me a PM w/ proposed price...

that looks clean, we though about installing it on the the drivers side too, but the stainless lines weren't long enough.

I figure I'm going to have to live with the thought of it. Anyways, a lot of the synthetics these days are pretty durable and can last thousands of miles after they are supposed to be changed.

I guess an easy fix would be to change the oil more frequently. That way, whatever is left in the cooler isn't exactly "expired".

Nice! I see the rest of the exhaust isn't reconnected yet. Also, I thought you were going to wrap first? Those look like bare ceramic coating (like mine).

Yeah, there wasn't enough room for wrap + they were already coated so we opted not to.

BTW I told them to turn it on with open headers and get some video

You'll probably throw a CEL, but that's easy to clear.
