Stillen OIL COOLER, Headers, Catback and Light Weight Pulley (Pictures A-plenty)

RCZ, are you saying that the STILLEN catback gained 10 horsepower? I'm kinda sleepy, so I'm not really understanding the last sentence.

Im saying I can't believe the fact that it gained me 20whp. Yes it got me from 275whp to 295whp on my best run (third). The first two runs it made 285whp, then 290whp. I just stopped doing runs while I was ahead haha, next one might have been 290 again and I didnt want to see that

It isn't possible. It was a lot cooler and less humid out tonight though...

Ah ok. The temperature explains it. Still interesting though!

What do you think the catback realistically gained you? 10 to 15 hp?

Thats what the results say. I didnt want to come out and say it before, but I felt gains in the butt dyno with the catback. I guess I was right. OK pics coming now.

This is the Mounting location that STILLEN wanted to use.

This is where I put it. On the opposite side, not behind the oil cooler as per the instructions. We only had to drill two holes to mount the power steering cooler on the other side. This is where the extra hose was for. To reach over.

/Oilcoolerinstall0221024x768.jpg[/IMG]

Now that the Power Steering cooler was all set, we started with the oil cooler itself.

This sensor had to get a little pwned, but its ok.

The final Product

Notice the little spacers we had to fab up to mount the Power steering cooler. I think STILLEN meant to send us some, but maybe I lost them somewhere because I couldn't find them. Either way, we made our own from nylon spacers from autozone.

Perfect Clearance, no touching anywhere.

There was no drilling or cutting necessary to run the lines with our method.

Bumper on no problem, DYNO TIME

And a HUGE plug for the people without whom this wouldn't have been possible. They have been amazing support for me and should be lauded for it!
Big thanks to HorsePower Logic. If you are in the South Florida area.. You don't need to go ANYWHERE else but this place. The folks there are amazing, they took more care of my car than I even do. They stayed there way past closing on a friday night. Then somehow after all was said and done...the price was super super reasonable. Just incredible work guys, thanks very much.

And finally the dyno. I have videos too. Will get those up later.

Well done! Cant wait for my little install day...I'll be taking pictures and video along the way as well. Yours should greatly increase the speed for my install.

Thanks

super nice job ! appreciate all the detailed pics... not sure I'll do mine exactly like this but good to see that you got it working and I'm really encouraged with the oil temp results!!! keep a close eye out for oil leaks first few days - and stop the engine right away if you ever see the dreaded oil level indicator light !

RCZ, please also let us know if the changes you made to the airflow with this set up in any way change the water cooling efficiency

Thanks !

What would you do differently? There may be good reasons as to why we chose to do things that may not make that much sense at first sight.

Don't know exactly yet... probably I will leave it up to my mech ! But off the top of my head, I'm currently thinking about leaving the power steering pump cooler where it is and installing the oil cooler on the other side... maybe using hard lines for the oil cooler, if I can get them to be compliant enough to accommodate engine movement... also wondering if a bigger core would be helpful... if a bigger core, may need to reconfigure things a bit... having said all that, yours is simpler, and if it continues to work - especially once proven at the track - I may just copy it 1 for 1 !!!
