i had a CEL with the CNT high flow cats. i then stuffed some steel wool into O2 sensor hole, but got a CEL again shortly later. i found that the key was to roll up the steel wool into a tightly rolled ball so that its just slightly larger than the O2 bung and stuff it in. i've been driving for almost 500 miles now with the ball of steel wool with no CEL.

ok i believe im going to go ahead and buy them. with the steel wool i just roll it up and put it in the bung that the o2 sensor goes in correct? then the other bung comes with a plug to seal it up i believe. and should i put locktite on the seal for the extra bung?

locktite wouldnt be a bad idea. mine definitely became loose after a few hundred miles and started rattling. as for the steel wool, yes...just roll it up into a nice thick ball and stick it into the o2 sensor bung. ive yet to get a CEL after numerous long highway trips, while before the steel wool, id only get a CEL if i went on a long highway trip (city driving would be fine)

i thought about that and i asked my dealer and he said if i got a tune then that would completely void my warranty cause it changes everything about ur engine. i explained to him about that court case envolving warranty but he was acting that it didnt really matter. so i think ill go the safe route cause i dont want to get into any legal matters just in case something ever goes wrong.
