Default Stillen exhaust rattling!

Put on the stillen exhaust tonight. I like it a lot. It sounds very smooth and is pretty quiet at idle. Still, it sounds manly and mean under high rpm and with a load on it. It pretty much lets the car make the sound and doesn't seem to taint the sound to much.
Only problem is the exhaust is only about one millimeter above a metal piece of the car. At one point the exhaust passes above a black subframe or something. It is, like I said, so close to it!! I figured maybe somebody came up with a fix for this already. I mean I am gonna have to tweak this a little bit or something!!
Like I said, the exhaust sounds great; WHEN its not rattling against the car!!

Give Josh@stillen a PM. I thought I read that some of the Stillen exhausts have a minor fitment issue with the cross member. He'll be able to tell you how to fix it.

Some have fixed this using a washer/spacer to sligthly shift the support bar down.

Another thing you can try is to loosen all the bolts and retighten them working from the front to the back while pushing up on each pipe section. The clearance between each bolt and bolt holes may allow you to shift the exhaust up enough so that it'll have enough clearance without having to resort to spacers.

Pretty common. The best thing to do is wrap the exhaust with heat wrap where it's rubbing. I did this and it worked perfect.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will be trying these. Funny I was thinking about heat wrap. Just gotta get back to the mechanic's shop now. Power seems good with the new exhaust.
