stillen intake+nismo exhaust?
Ive got a nismo exhaust coming and want to add a stillen intake, with both of these bolt ons should i get be getting around 300hp @ wheels?
|
it depends on the dyno, the only real way to gauge your benefits is to take a baseline dyno with no mods and then with mods, or if you go to the track.... just check your 1/4 mile times, thats how you see the real world benefit of mods.
|
Ok thanks, ya ive been to the track once n tht was my first time ever goin n my life n it was like 95 degrees @ 8 oclock @ night, n she ran a 13.7 i know thts not very good but considering the circumstances ill take it
|
yeah just go at some point after you install your parts. what is a dyno sheet gonna tell you compared to actual 1/4 mile times?
|
why the nismo exhaust? over priced and like 5 wheel hp.. i would of bought the stillen or hks, there cheaper and give u way more horse.
|
i found 1 cheap n i just bought te-37's so dont really have alot of money 2 mod with right now
5whp really, goin from a y pipe to h-pipe thts all im gonna get, seems like it would free up a lot of back pressure |
with an intake and exhaust combination, you should get around 12-15 whp

I'd say, depending on the correction factor, 285 - 290 tops. |
If you nix the Nismo exhaust and grabbed a set of high flow cats to match the Stillen intake, you could very well break the 300whp mark. I put down 310rwhp and 260ftlbs of torque with my G3 intakes, Berk HFCs, and a Tanabe Y pipe.

I honestly wouldn'texpect the Stillen intakes to give you much if any gains over the K&N panel filters and swapping out the Y-pipe will net you, maybe another 5-6 whp, so I think something in the high 280's to low 290's at best unless you have a really optimisitic dyno... If I were you, I'd keep the K&N panel filters, get a decent Y pipe to match your current exhaust and get a nice set of high flow cats or test pipes (I'd recommend getting resonated ones if you want to avoid the rasp, althouhgh ebay pipes will net the same power). That should get you in the 300whp ball park on a dynojet. To break 300, you'll definitely need a tune. |

If you picked up someone's Factory nismo exhaust it has an H-pipe -- very curious to see if it outperforms the S-tune, which has the Y. My guess is it just moves the gains around a bit... I have mixed feelings on the HPS tubes... they give you a little bit of gain, but barely enough to make it worth the cost and hassle to install. Still, every little bit helps, and that plus the K&N panels should give you essentialy the same gains as any of the aftermarket intakes. I've yet to see any dynos that convince me any of them out perform the panel filters (with or without the HPS tubes). Without a doubt, test pipes or HFC's will net the biggest gains -- best bang for the buck bolt on you can do. Factory cats are really restrictive. Good luck -- let us know how it does. Post the dynos  |

If you mean what system do I recommend, at this point I'd say Osirus UpRev, but really any softeare that lets you adjust fuel and ignition should be fine (nobody can adjust VVEL right now). |
