CNT Racing V2 370z Catback Exhaust (Sound clip, Pictures included)

I dig it... reallllly want to hear it with some kind of TP/HFC setup. Hoping it will liven the sound up a bit.

I am missing a gasket. Does anyone know where I can just go buy one somewhere else instead of waiting for CNT to send me one.

I was missing a gasket too, It would just be quicker to go to your local parts store and get a metal gasket sheet and cut one out.

Anyone see a dyno yet? Can you feel a noticable difference with the system?

I notice it seems more responsive, Little bump in power but nothing you would **** your pants over. I seem to notice it more in the mid range it seems... *shrugs* No dyno though =\

I'll get it installed tomorrow and I'm already running HFCs. I'll try to video something!

Since this exhaust is basically an HKS copy...I wonder if the H pipe is interchangable. I have an HKS so it would be nice to replace it with this if it ever goes bad especially at the flex joint. Either that or replacing the flex joints itself should be fine. Just wondering, thanks.

I'm not 100% sure it will fit or not but the HKS exhaust you have is worth a lot of Money since HKS USA went out of business last month.

Sorry for bringing back an old thread but I figured there is no point making a new one.

I have finally put on the exhaust. Unfortunately the H-pipe clamp that came with my catback was 4 mm too large and did not fit. It ended up breaking so I am running it without the clamp for now.

Sound:

It sounds amazing in person and what ever videos you hear on here or youtube will do it no justice. If I cruise, it is very quiet and the road noise ends up being louder. If you drive and gas very lightly, the car isn't that loud but if you get on it a little it will sound like sex on wheels. 10/10 for sound...

Quality:

The build quality is 9/10. I would of given it a 10/10 if the bracket that was cut off was actually welded on correctly. The fitment is also perfect and I don't know what else to say as the pictures from this thread explains the quality. In the end it all works out great as I got the catback on a discount.

Power:

I have no idea as I have yet to redline the car with the exhaust. I probably wouldn't be able to tell unless I jump on a dyno.

Overall conclusion:

For the price of the exhaust, even without the discount I received, it is well worth it. Considering all the other competitions out there are hundreds more. The only real complaint I have about this is that when I ordered the catback, it was missing a gasket and the packaging was disappointing. UPS threw my box around like a piece of crap and the exhaust ended up being dented in a couple spots. On top of the missing gasket and poor packaging, the clamp was 4mm off and ended up breaking during the install. Hopefully CNT or ERZ will send me one that fits.

Sorry that I do not have any pictures. I am waiting to get my hands on a better camera to post them. I believe I am the first nismo to have a CNT catback installed.

LOL, i too was missing a gasket, but i got an extra nut and bolt...so w/e.
Yeah sound is sweet...not loud enough for my wife to know what i did, but loud enough that i know what i did,
I have a bit of a rattle, i remember something had to come off, but i couldn't remember what at the time i was putting it on, now i know, so ill be putting the car back in the air to fix that.
Thanks for a great CBE at an Awesome price.

I think I'm going to end up going with this exhaust. The price and build quality seems great. Glad to see it produces a deeper exhaust note also. Thanks for the writeup, Cell.

You won't regret the purchase. I forgot the mention that when you downshift, it gurgles a bit and sounds kind of awesome.
