STILLEN Longtube G3 Intakes. Review, Dyno and Impressions.

This might be a stupid question, but do you have to pull the bumper off every time you want to change or clean the filters?

Actually that would be 50,000 miles.. not 15,000..

And as others have stated, once you've removed the fascia once or twice, it's easily done within 10 minutes.

EDIT: I should say that we recommend 50,000 miles, as K&N does for their panel filters, but for their conical filters, they recommend 100,000 miles.

Basically whenever you're doing a project, and feel like getting in there is a good time. There is no reason to stress that it hasn't been done.

For the average driver of 12k miles, you're talking about 4-5 years..

Has anyone received their Stillen Gen 3 from Intense Power? I ordered one over two weeks ago and haven't received it yet. They have not answered any of my emails.

I appreciate you bringing up your order, I'd be happy to check things on our end and see what is going on. Could you please email the details (and email receipt) to me at 'josh @ stillen.com' and I'll tackle that first thing Tuesday morning.

These are in stock.. not sure what the issue is.

For anyone who has any issues with us or a vendor of ours, please feel free to email or call us.

I ordered my Gen 3 intake from Intense and received it within a week. I am, however, still waiting on my 5zigen exhaust. Always try calling them first if you have questions its easier to get a response from them that way.

Early in this thread Sylenze questioned what effect the bumper would have on the dyno numbers of the G3.
370z.com magazine did a comprehensive test and came up with this conclusion:

"When running on the dyno, the Stillen intake produced on the average 3 more whp but less torque at 270 whp and 216 lb/ft with the power gains coming high in the powerband above 6700 rpm. Below 6700 rpm, the Stillen Intake lost a slight bit of power and torque. This isn’t the whole story though. For the sake of curiosity, we removed the front bumper fascia and ran the car with the airflow of the dyno’s cooling fan blowing straight on the filters. We were amazed to see that the Stillen intake belt out an additional 10 whp nearly completely across the board! Not believing our eyes, we ran the car with the bumper cover off for many pulls and the numbers repeated. We then replaced the bumper cover and the power numbers dropped to what they had been."
