Kastley85891 01-04-2011 08:38 AM

^No idea dude, not what I expected from driving feel but data is data

G37sHKS 01-04-2011 09:41 AM

yeah im wondering why the drop power in low end..

i guess the ART test pipes got not more magic anymore?? lol

tony should jump in and explain!!

Kastley85891 01-04-2011 09:49 AM

Tony has my .DRF data, so lets see what he says.

TBH - I do not floor it at 2K anyways, having said that, would be nice to know for sure

G37sHKS 01-04-2011 09:56 AM

im aint hating man.. i love ur gains.
I just wanna know why the drop in low end... is it because of the Ebay Y pipe??
or motordyne changed their design of their ART pipes?

Kastley85891 01-04-2011 10:00 AM

^ all good here man, its a valid ? I would like to know to, maybe I will throw the stock Y on and see if I can notice anything. Need new ramps first though, I destroyed mine on the weekend. Lucky escape when the Wifes Quest jumped off the front of them due to me being an idiot!!!

It will be interesting when more dynos appear with other set ups for sure.

I'm also surprised to see the dip @ 2K but I'm also surprised to see the gain is so large for the rest of the curve.

Looks great for sure.

I'll get the data into excel for analysis.

any word on how production is coming along for the ART pipes? Am supossed to first on the call back list :)

Well, I know the stock Y-merge is around 2.5" max so if the Ebay Y-pipe is 2.5" to 3", and then that mates back at 2.5" and reduces down to 2.25" pipes, you have some funky flow going on. Maybe that is it, not sure though..

Top end looks good, but really need to see these on a car with a full catback. We may have some untuned > 300whp dynos in store.....

Kastley85891 01-04-2011 12:40 PM

I think so, dude it takes 10 mins to change the Y pipe, if I can spring the garage time I will do the change and see how it feels, or may just wait for the CBE purchase and re dyno...

Agreed on the untuned 300 WHP, I would like to think with a CBE on mine would clear that marker.
