It won't bolt onto the stock Nismo H pipe location. Sorry.
Its completely a new design. The only thing in common are the hanger locations and where it bolts to the stock cats.

I installed the ART pipes last night, no issues. Volume is the same as the HFC setup it replaced. Only thing I am disappointed about is that the stock cat brace cannot be used (the Berk HFC has this) and so there is a lot of unsupported weight to be carried by the header bolts. I go to a couple of rough tracks so this has me a little concerned.

Let us know how it goes. Do have future plans to track my Z and am very interested in picking up the ART pipes. If it's an issue, then I will have to take that into consideration when making my decision.

If it is a problem I will just have an exhaust shop fab something up, not the end of the world just an extra expense.

True, but it's just another annoying little thing to deal with. Won't make or break my decision, but may make me slightly lean towards one side or the other.

The pipes will get more quiet as you put miles on the car. Mine is more quiet already with about 350 or so miles on them.

Does it feel any different from the HFC's?

The volume wasn't an issue, wasn't any louder than what I had. Was just a little worried about the lack of physical support.

I haven't been able to take it for a good test drive yet but I am expecting I will like it. The real shake down will be Watkins Glen on Monday.

well at least, we will get some real track use from someone which will tell more about the pipes IMO.

My ART pipes are great. Still getting squeel from ARK exhaust but I'm going to deal with it til I sell it or replace the X-pipe with something.

I so want these, but I'm very concerned about the sound change. So I'm here to reach out to all members that have my exhaust system and have added these. I would love a sound clip if possible but a written opinion will be just fine, you folks have always provided excellent reviews.
Thanks in advance,
TommyGuns

why are you afraid of a sound change outta curiosity? not one person has said it gets raspy or drones. everyone seems to be under the same concensus that its just slightly slightly louder, but mostly just a deeper sound.

second that... and i've got a video of it right as it was fired up after install and they are more quiet now at idle... still sound nice under load though.... not to mention how much better power and throttle response.

tommyguns 09-06-2011 07:30 PM

Truth be told I get so many compliments on the sound that I would hate to change it too much.

Footloose301 09-06-2011 08:23 PM

It'll only make it sound better

NeverBoneStck 09-06-2011 10:30 PM
