Unfortunately, I am experiencing the same sound Arnold K was having even wiith the new pipes. Started to occur after 200 miles. Sounds like a ball bouncing around in a tin can. It goes away after about 30 seconds on a cold start but can still be heard while driving. Also, a SES light popped up around that time with a P2A03. Will have to take it back to Amp to have them look at it.

370Z JT: Drive the car hard for a few mins. Tell me if the sound goes away. Redline 1st and 2nd. Usually, when I begin to hear the rattle, I'll just goose the throttle in 1st and 2nd a few times, and it stops. If I have a good enough stretch, I'll give 3rd a press too just to heat things up. After that, it doesn't come back for quite a while (over a week usually).

According to Tony this is part of the break-in process. I'm approaching 1000 miles on my 2nd set, so hopefully mine stops for good.

I see Ebay Y pipes mentioned.. I haven't looked, but is there a cheap H pipe or whatever it's called? I'm not used to this dual exhaust stuff... I came for I4s lol.

Will the pipes fit the new motor mounts for the GTM stage 2 SC?

The ART pipes have the same envelope as the stock cats.
If stock cats are compatible with the stage 2, the ART pipes will also be compatible.

Hey Tony, I'm not sure if you've heard the GTHaus exhaust for the 370Z before but how do you think the ART pipes will affect the sound/power compared to ERZ HFCs? (What I currently have.) I'm thinking about buying these and selling my ERZs before I install them if it'll be less raspy.

If the motor is physically moved in location and sams headers end up in the oem location it will. If the motor itself doesnt move, just the way it mounts it will work

Now if sam makes it so the oem tp location is moved, aka have to use his headers and Tp/hfc then it wont work. I dont think hed do that though

The general effect of the ART pipes is to make the sound deeper with less drone and rasp than regular test pipes.
Relative to HFC's, HFC's generally sound dry'er and ricey. And power will be higher with ART pipes.

The sound of my ART pipes has definitely started to change. The hiss has changed to more of what I consider a "traditional" rasp, but it's much quieter than before. It also sounds like all of the sound is coming from the exhaust tips, whereas before the hissing sound was coming directly from the pipes themselves.

I'm interested to see how they'll sound when I hit stage 3 of the break-in process.
