I'm ordering tomorrow I think.... It's going to be irritating if beads are in there because I don't have time for my car not to be running. It's my daily.

Titanium Ceramic Coated

Hi guys.

On this latest batch there should have been none but one was found to have a few beads in it. So for this latest run, we cut open all 200 of them and found one pipe had 3 beads in it.

So at least now we can officially confirm that they now have zero. We are also using a new ceramic coating. Titanium Ceramic. And it does not require beads to make it. This new ceramic is Titanium based rather than Chrome based. The Titanium ceramic coating has more of a metallic matt finish, better thermal insulating abilities and has a higher temperature limit. It also costs a bit more than the Chrome ceramic but we will keep the same sale price during this introductory period.

All of the ART pipes are now at the ceramic coaters facility being recoated with the Titanium . And no ceramic beads are used in this process!!! :D
Once they come out of the ceramic coaters we will ship them out immediately.

We are also starting another production run right away. The 200 we have here are pretty much sold out as soon as they are finished.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Tony

PS - any one who currently has the Chromex ceramic ART pipes and would like to upgrade it to the Titanium ceramic send me a PM.;)

Nice. Hope to get mine by next Friday.

Is there any real reason for those of us who have chrome-ceramic pipes to upgrade to the titanium-ceramic pipes?

Nope ..

Putting mine on tomorrow. Here's to hoping I don't tear my hair out getting the demon bolts off using the Frankentool.

PB on the bolt when its warm, but not hot.
Use the heat to help with the solvent diffusion but not so hot that it vaporizes or smokes when you spray it on.

Thanks for the advice, Tony. The pipes look amazing. Can't wait to get them on. :D Really hoping there won't be a bead rattle... but taking them off after you get the OEM cats off isn't nearly as bad, so no big deal. :)

btw: waiting on the exhaust, i'll be one of the guys in line for it. ;)

The drivers' side cat bolts... are a nightmare.

To be continued tomorrow morning.

daisuke149 07-02-2011 09:56 PM

heh my car it was passenger side.

P.S.

Car sounds awesome. Its completely quiet when just cruising on the highway. Driving around normally without giving it a ton of gas has a nice tone / deep sound.

So far so awesome so good.

Can't wait. Have the ebay y-pipe also. Ended up bending the hell out of one of the bolts. Two left- the upper one that you need to move the maf tube to get to and the one toward the outside. Think I'm just going to cut that one off.

Whatever man. Now I know why I was turned down by three shops to have them install it.

Ha.

Not that bad. Remove the strut bar and use a 1/2" socket and extensions and just snap that beotch off. Nice and clean. You're Not using those bolts ever again.

Tony,

I just placed an order on your website for your ART pipes! First name is Ryan.

My Berk HFC just grenaded so.. it was good timing i guess

I also ordered an invidia gemini exhaust. I realize a few people have had some problems, but the sound and price seems just right.

strut bar, huh? I'll do that. Thanks man. I have all the sockets and extensions- it seems like the steering knuckle keeps getting in the way. I'm sure it'll work out with a little more time and patience.
