Single exit out the "butthole" on rear bumper
We are in the process of fabbing up a single exit exhaust that is going to have a square tip and come straight out of the butthole in the rear... fake fog light is coming out... we are going to put some aluminum around the butthole to keep from melting it. Pics will come up throughout the process and a video of the sound will be up when it is done.
Sorry to start the anticipation early but it probably wont be done until mid jan |

Sorry but at least you know it is being done 1 month isn't all that long of a wait is it? I mean how long did we all wait for berk/fi/etc?
And to be clear this is something we (being my friends and I) are making, not a company or anything and I doubt it will be mass marketed or anything because its not going to be for everyone. Right now I am set up with berk test pipes and straight pipes all the way back and it sounds amazing to me, very loud though. It wont be legal in a lot of states and not a lot of people would want to buy it especially considering the fact that it has no mufflers, resonators, etc and the cost to build it you could just go buy one that is already marketed. |

So you basically are just building a straight pipe back system which merges into a single pipe near the rear?
In for results and pictures.

Yeah that is the general gist of it... I wanted to put a muffler in there and put a square tip exit on it but I can't really find one I think would work and it will just make things difficult to do it.

You can add mufflers further upstream; maybe two small bullet style mufflers for each exhaust bank in the mid-pipe area?

That could be done but again it would be more hassle than it is worth to me, and I like it being as loud as it is . Now if I were going to make one and sell it to someone that needed/wanted mufflers to keep it legal for them or quiet it down or w/e the case may be then that is likely the route I would go down.

Somebody did this a long while ago, and it wasn't bad. The only problem was that they didn't seal up the original exhaust exits which left the cutouts for nothing and made the whole thing look a little strange.

It might and it might not.. who knows but for now it is what I am going to go with. Long-term plan is to have a guy I know that does fiberglass etc make kind of a one-off type rear bumper that has only that exit...
For now though I think I will like it and it is going to workout for me. JACKPAC- Do you have any pictures or anything of the person that did it? I haven't seen it at all I know there was a lot of talk about it for quite some time but never saw any action? |
