MXP or HKS Hi Power ?? Which would you choose.
 

Hey guys..

Just about to purchase one of these two brands..

Question I have is which would you choose and why?? :)

The magnaflow I can get for $902 + Shipping ($379) and the Agency for $850 + Shipping ($225). (Shipping is expensive because its going to Australia.)

imo agency looks better and less restriction = more power

Would it be cheaper considering the shipping to get a custom one built?

I think though I would go AP - cause I like the cans - you can prolly get it cheaper then that to.

Not really, custom is actually more in Aus.. rather a bolt on

AP at $850 is the cheapest I could get...

You also should consider the sound difference between these two? The Agency will be louder than the Magnaflow for sure. The one bad thing about the Magnaflow is those slip joints. If they are not installed correctly they will leak :(

Do you have a specific goal in mind? Like, sound, HP gains, etc?

Magnaflow one has a X-pipe.... AP one has nothing.

magnaflow is just like stock. sure it will be better than stock but designwise its like the stock exhaust.

I guess it depends on how important the money it to ya. 1281 for the magnaflow that has the X pipe. Scavenging is your friend. X pipes tend to tone down the exhaust note. I don't know how much that matters to ya. If you want something that is a little more suttle I would go that route. I don't know if it is worth $206. I am sure they are both fine exhaust.

Doesn't have to be those two.. Just trying to get a cat-back under $1000 so I dont pay tax etc..

I assumed the magnaflow was better as it retails for $1600 and the AP for $1000..

I do indeed like it fairly loud, at the end of the day thats why I want an exhaust.. But no stupidly loud.. hp gain would beneficial..

If your in Aust, buy a X-force system

Magnaflow uses 409 SS piping = FAIL. I would not consider it for that sole reason.

Any way you can get an Invidia in the line up? I dont think its far from that price range, but then again, I'm not so sure in AUS.

The Invidia CBE might be good for your price and it won't be annoying loud!

I believe Westwood or someone else have purchased Ebay exhaust and had very good result both on sound and on dyno.

I just bought the AP exhaust just tore off my stocker about to bolt up the AP I paid $750 through THM and i gotta say I am quite impressed with the quality of this exhaust I'd say it was worth every penny...now to get it on and see how she sounds...

I've owned a Magnaflow on another car, and the fit was very good. I'm not a fan of slip joints, but also would want an X-pipe. I believe the flow is better than exhausting each side of the V6 separately (someone correct me if I'm wrong!) and drone is reduced.

Spend a little more if you can, and get a Fast Intentions system!

Agency Power parts are just the same as all of the other Chinese crap parts.

Magnaflow has been making exhausts for cars and trucks for a long time... in the US.

I wouldn't have either... but I certainly wouldn't buy anything from Agency Power.

It sounds good for something under 1k. At one point I saw the berk cbe going for under 1k on their site.

I think your best bet is Fast Intentions. I know they have shipped several systems down under and they make a great exhaust. :tup:
