My exhuast plan - input on muffler fitment..
Any comments...
I am currently on yet 'another' exhuast project, I am keeping cost down and want a full, header back system for <900 dollars that gives low down grunt and a good growl. So far it goes like this.... Motordyne ART pipes (at my house waiting my xmas return) 2.5 to 3 in generic Y pipe Stock mid pipe (its a piece of pipe after all....) Muffler - I was considering 'making these fit... any of you guys have any input as to how far off they will be? they are designed for a G37. I do have access to cutting and welding tools, if they are gonna be close I will jump and erm,, 'adjust' as needed. and off course report back. http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...g37muffler.jpg Any input appreciated. Happy and safe holidays K |
looks good..im sure you can make those work by just welding a 2.5 flange to the existing midpipe..goodluck!

Oooo, that's gonna be LOUD! That will be a very affordable header back system.

^ lets see how it goes, I have not had a lot of input but think I can make them fit, I mean I can make anything fit but I want this to work with out too much intervention ;-)
Yes goal is a value for money header back exhuast that will prove to make power, with the ART pipes it will be very interesting on sound and TRQ/HP levels. I already have baseline dyno data for my car and also some dynos run with different configs, should make for a good comparo. **** - I like messing so all good - if it turns out good, its another option for everyone else. |
