Mods to Stillen G3 on NISMO?
Word around the board is that the Stillen G3 will not fit a NISMO. Does anyone have first-hand knowledge as to whether or not this is true and what modifications (if any) would be required to get it to fit?

I installed them on mine. First mod I did actually. U just don't reinstall a black aluminum piece. Other than that the installation is the same as a normal z. Contact stillen directly and they can probably provide more specifics and possibly a picture of this piece. I didn't know when I did the install what piece it was but once u get the g3s installed and start putting the front end back together its clear that this particular piece wont go back on.

Just in case you were also considering it I recently got the AEM. I felt noticeable torque and response differences and it runs great. They recently redisigned the bracket for the washer to accomodate Nismo models. There is no cutting required to the core support either.

So how is the quality? Nice to hear you don't have to mod anything. |

Usually companies have to reduce the size of the piping to be consistant with the inlet on the air meter or you can get screwed up readings or CEL's. AEM was able to keep the same diamter throught and use a little device that piggy backs on the air meter plug to compensate electronically. They come with dry flow filters also so you don't have to worry about oil on the piping/AFM or reoiling. Early on VictorxSE was the first to try it and had some issues. I brought the issues to thier attention and they I let them use my car for a re-test on my Nismo. The piping was fine but like I mentioned they redesigned the washer location braket to accomodate the Nismo facia. I haven't had any issues. There is more info/pics HERE with thier dyno and HERE with an explanation on the electronics (Scroll down to ETI).
