Motordyne test pipes?
hey guys and gals, got two questions.
1: i was wondering, are the A.R.T. pipes compatible with the 370z? 2: even if they are, are you guys still going to do some research if there is a better design for more power from them? any input is great :) |
They are Compatible.. and what do you mean YOU GUYS....
what do you mean you people
wait.. what do YOU mean YOU people
(glad someone got that.. hard to get that across in Type!) |
I hate You people. always taken everything and eating my food
uhm..what lol
okay cool that's good to know..i was just wondering because even though the 370 is very similar to the 350, i was wondering if they took a different approach to the deign and it granted more power or sounds etc. |
i think maybe a little** fitment modification...but thats it .....the design is gonna stay basically the same
Waiting for a set here......
Hmm, at SEMA, Tony said the 370 ART pipes would be out soon, so do the 350s fit?
the 350's do fit. I know a few members on this board have it in. they never mentioned any fitment issues.
wish there were some sound clips...

call tony he is very informative when it comes to his products.
Andrew, you are right. The test pipes are almost done, but from what I know Tony will release pipes, and the exhaust at the same time. There still a little more R&D to do. Tony wants to make sure what he does for the 370z sets the bar high. From the looks of it, you guys the enthusiast will be very happy with his upcoming Z & G products.

But 500 for non resonated test pipes is crazy

ART pipes use a side-branch Helmholtz resonator for better acoustic and resonance control. It is also why they cost more than regular test pipes. These side-branch resonator reduces high frequency rasp like a standard glass pack but they also control midrange and low frequencies. It makes for a quieter and clearer sound with less rasp, less loudness and even less drone. It is interesting to note that while it reduces drone, it gives your CBE a subtle infrasonic growl. . |
Will you guys have non res test pipes?
Who cares if they have non res test pipes or not, there are other companies that has non res test pipes if you want.
^+1
We could make regular test pipes but what would be the point? It would have a different name and be exactly like all the rest. There's no fun in that. The way I see it, it if its not the best, there isn't much reason to produce it. |

Ninja Edit: +1 :D |
Definitely waiting for some sound clips and a dyno.
I have ordered last week ART pipes for G35 sedan fitment for the Z, as G35sedan/G37 share the same highflow cas and TPs so these should fit, its reaching on thursday will post a review then. I heard in my friends Z and it sounds amazing nothing like resonated or non resonated test pipes and there is good low end torque in these
any dynos on these on a stock vehicle?
so any group buy for the art pipes?
$500+ for test pipes?
ehhh. Different strokes for different folks I guess.... |
I think only VQ35HR ART Pipes fit on a VQ37HR. VQ35DE ART Pipes will not fit.
Got a set en route, will be back at home around 21st. should have a full review up here shortly afterward. Video , pics, comments initially then dyno in new year.

^ Yes Sir
Modding on a budget is relative to my goal, I can still get stellar gains from an exhaust system for less $$ then the mid range CBE with these babies in place - I am out to get the best bang for buck, I research a lot, if a product makes sense I try it. I want to get this going with my Y pipe and drop ins, then try the MD intake manifold. My goal is a less restrictive top end but with gobs of low down and mid range grunt compared to stock. I may re invest in an AP, throw my WB02 on and dial the fuel for that extra crispness. As ever all data will be up |
I want to see these in person. I might do these if they sound alright. I'm having trouble getting a setup i truly like.
Dude, Ill let you know when they are on, we can meetup and you can take a look in person, like I said Ill post a full review here come xmas
