Exhaust Advice Needed for a Nismo!
I've searched all over the forum, read tons of reviews, and watched a bunch of videos...but I'm having trouble deciding on an exhaust for my Nismo.
I am looking for: -Good sound improvement without rediculous drone (my last car droned so much I could barely have a conversation without yelling). -Good HP increase (i.e. Stillen or FI type numbers) -Good looks (not a fan of the Berk oval tips with the Nismo bumper) I plan on doing either resonated TP or HFC at the same time as exhaust. My future plans include forced induction...so ideally I would like to be able to keep the exhaust without worrying about restricting flow. Any and all opinions would help a ton! Thanks! |
get that custom INjen with the tips in the for sale thread.

I don't know how the quad tips would look with the Nismo bumber. What do you think? Any idea on power gains?
|
AFAIK Stillen does not drone. You should go to one of the MD or VA Starbucks meets and sample some of the exhaust systems in person. I think we have at least a few different exhausts represented.

boombop shop exhaust is really nice.. but oval tips.. still its a really nice exhaust

BTW, if you don't mind spending a bit, the HKS cat-back sounds amazing and does not drone.

Thanks everyone for your input. I've been meaning to get to one of the meets m4a1, just been really busy lately. I do like the hks, has anyone paired it with a forced induction setup? I also have had a hard time finding hp results for the hks.

I recommend HKS.

^ It seems like the FI exhaust hangs pretty low, how much can you lower the car and still be able to drive the car as a DD with that exhaust on?
