I personally think it's ridiculous to intentionality create a exhaust leak. I would also be concerned about carbon monoxide poisoning from penetration into the cabin.

I'd just wait then. I haven't been paying too much attention to pricing but I'm sure some headers and intakes will be cheaper than CBE. Those should make the car sound much nicer.

350z sounds a lot better than the 370...if you put HFC or test pipes it will get it to a nice tone.
BTW i did the washer mod and i couldnt stand it, it was way to loud in the cabin and it felt slower when you got on the gas. so i took them off a couple days later

You get more CO2 and other non-catalyzed gasses entering the cabin when you sit in traffic... directing the exhaust flow down to the ground a foot before where the exhausts tips are is not dangerous at all

this is a beaten horse..that's what the catalytic converter is for, i did the mod at the utmost end of the exhaust, there is almost the same amount of crap coming out of it than if it was the stock way... and besides, for it to actually have an affect on you, you'd have to be in basically the same situation for anything to happen if the car was stock...you can basically sit right behind the exhaust and breath it in and nothing would really happen, it disperses through the air too much for anything too happen.. it's all about concentration, if you're in a closed area i.e. garage for a long time then yes obviously it'll be a problem..but same as the stock exhaust! it's not like i'm running open headers with a tube from the end of the header into my mouth

It's effectively the same modification as me taking the effort to cut into the stock Z muffler and gut some of the internals to accomplish the same sound, welding it all up afterward. I did this to my Evo before buying a proper exhaust. In fact, a well-respected, track-oriented Evo tuning company sells a modified muffler like this. Instead, I saved myself some time and effort instead of ruining the stock muffler we might need later on down the road. But you probably wouldn't call the latter that I described as "rice." Your logic is flawed, it really is.

Do you understand how quickly exhaust gases diffuse into the atmosphere surrounding your car once they leave the exhaust system? It's virtually instantaneous relative to your breathing rate. It's only dangerous when the entire atmosphere surrounding your car becomes concentrated in CO and noxious gases.

Modifying a muffler for better air flow is different, if that is the case. What you did is NOT what I would call a rice mod because it takes some effort and skill. Just relax...the washer mod IS ricey, but I for one am saying it is a GREAT and cheap way to modify your car if all you want is a more aggressive note, whether you don't care about 20hp for $1500 or you just don't have the cash.

Warm why dont you just try and find an axle back? or better yet test pipe? HFC? you got alot of options to make it sound more aggressive without spending over 1k. better yet invidia has theirs for 9 bills + tax and ship. still hell of alot cheaper. Releasing excessive amount of back pressure is not good as well... i mean if you really wanted to go cheaper buy a universal resonator and have a guy replace and weld it on hell of alot cheaper keeping your stock exhaust better sound.
