Top Speed Y-Pipe

Already have the Top Speed Exhaust and love it. Can an anyone talk about the stock Y-pipe and maybe chime in on performance/look of this y-pipe so I could match my top speed exhaust vs stock y-pipe. JIC MAGIc and Tanabe are really expensive. Let me know what you guys think about this......

PS...dont flame, i already have their exhaust and its top notch and amazing

I believe that after the stock catalytic converters, the Y pipe is the most restrictive part of the factory exhaust. I can't say exactly how much power the Y pipe added alone along with my Berk HFCs, but I will let these pictures do the talking regarding comparing the stock Y pipe to my Tanabe Y pipe:

Great pics and post Thanks. But can anyone click the link and comment on the look of the top speed y-pipe or any others out there not so expensive as the tanabe

The pipe diameters are the same as the Tanabe Y pipe but the bends and the collector of the Top Speed Y pipe don't look as well designed or thought out. However, it is still going to be far better than the stock Y pipe so I say go for it!

i have the top speed exhaust so it would be nice to match, but the bends look the same as the stock y-pipe. what do you techy guys think about the top speed and stock bends looking similar. Is there more to the top speed and all the y-pipes than just bends.

For what its worth, I went from the FI True dual to the Tanabe exhaust/Ypipe combo. Felt no difference in power between the 2. So that bigger diameter y-pipe is definitely worth it no mater which brand you go with.

This is a lame response, but I love my Amuse Y Pipe.

It should pick up some power.

But... dyno the car before and after so you know how much it picked up and where in the rev range.

am i wrong to think the top speed looks exactly the same as the stock y-pipe or is there more to it than what im thinking.

The diameter of any aftermarket Y pipe is much larger and is a huge amount less restrictive than the tiny stock diameter. Refer to my pictures for reference.
