I am considering getting this exhaust but the only thing holding me back are complaints about drone and annoying vibrations from the exhaust. For all you who experienced this exhaust, how bad is this? I already know this exhaust sounds amazing but I'm going to be using my Z as a daily driver so I dont want to regret getting it. Btw I want to get Stainless steel 18".

It's not bad at all. I would highly recommend it. Even with HFC's it's fine. There is some drone and vibration at certain RPM's but not annoying and hardly an issue (for me). Remember, it's a performance exhaust. If this bothers you get a something tamer like a Stillen or just stay stock. LOL
KaienZ34 and Leuz like this.

The exhaust itself should be fine unless you start adding HFC or TP

I felt like there was some drone in the 2,000-3,000 RPM range with the 18" CBE and stock cats. I could deal with it but it would give my gf (who has more sensitive hearing) headaches after long drives.

It didn't help that the highway driving we did included a lot of hills and mountains, so the car was constantly loaded in that rev range.

I don't think you will regret the exhaust. It sounds amazing. And if for whatever reason you don't like it, it's not exactly a hard system to sell.

there is a slight drone, I actually have m4a1's exhaust on my car. The drone isn't bad at all though, considering the lack of sound deadening this car comes with. I love the sound, and I may even go a tad louder.
I'm running the 18" res w SS mufflers with stock cats

I really don't notice what I think is drone, and I have the 12" resonators/SS mufflers. There is a "hum" if you accelerate slightly in 6th gear between 2-3k rpms. But as soon as you resume cruising it goes away. To me, this is nothing. I've had exhausts that droned across a wide rpm band, with no escape (decelerating, accelerating, downshifting, etc. still produced drone).

I get a faint vibration in the dash at times.

None of these are issues for me personally, because the exhaust sounds sooo good. An angry growl at lower rpms, a scream at 4k and above, and completely well behaved at idle.

I love this freakin thing!

Before I added Non-Resonated TP to my FI Non-Resonated CBE I had no drone or weird vibrations. Its a much different story now.

I have had mine for a week. 18" CF. I love it. The car is my DD. I hate having to park it because I don't get to hear it any more.

Had mine for a couple of months now and all I can say is awesome! She sounds like a sports car now, which is what I expected from the NISMO initially. If I had to do it all again, I would just go with F.I. from the start. I actually traded my Berk GB#2 slot for the F.I. TDX that I have now. Next up LTHs baby.

I have the CBE no resonators and the LTH and love it. Yes there is drone but not so loud that you can hold a conversation. It sounds how a sports car should. I had just the CBE for while and it was perfect but when I added the LTH the tone was the same just more raw. My setup isn't for everyone but the CBE in any form (non resonated, 12", or 18") will make you very happy. Tony is the best to do business with.

Steve, here is a vid I dug up featuring your setup so the OP might be able to get a listen.

man I think what you are asking is more of a personal preference, I have the same setup which you are looking at and its in FS section.

There is a drone/vibration which rattles the car under normal cruising from 2200-2700rpms in every gear, it does rattle my doors/dash or other plastic things at different time and that also when you are pushing the car ery slowly if you push it hard the I think its not that much there......... thats the only thing uncomfortable which I personally feel for a daily driver, rest its amazing. I am trying to change but I know I wont get any other exhaust which make your car sound so sick. Coming to your question how bad it is? its not bad at all if you are okay with this little issue
