Nismo exhaust, is it a bolt on for a base Z with sport package?
I keep seeing used Nismo cat backs for sale, does anyone know if this is a bolt on swap for the standard exhaust or is cutting and welding needed? For that matter is it worth the trouble?

direct bolt on my friend. no welding needed.

Thanks for the help. Is it worth any power and does the sound change much in volume or charatcer?
|
you wont get anything for power really, just a tad bit reduced back pressure and for sound, check out my thread a few posts down, there are a bunch of sound clips.
|
I sure felt that there was a big power increase. No dyno but butt dyno, that and my back tires spend a lot more time complaining...

Kirkster - Your signature looks like it, but wanted to confirm that you have the H-pipe NISMO exhaust from a stock NISMO Z. I have a sport model and was thinking about buying a used NISMO exhaust I found but wanted to make sure there were no fitment issues.
I have also seen the s-tune NISMO exhaust for sale and know that fits but have read that the stock NISMO H-pipe exhaust may stick out some from the bumper of a base or sport model. Thanks |
I have a complete cat back exhaust from a stock Nismo 370 (Trooper's Car) and it bolted right up...
Everyone loves the Nismo tips on my Z. K |
